Why are you betraying the people who bought the game based on your manifesto? Being able to know when stuff will happens ruins the living and dynamic world.

Living, dynamic world?

More like timed, scheduled world now.

I really don’t see this as that much different than what we already had. There’s really no difference in whether Teq spawns once every 8 hours, or once every other hour, the same with the Wurm. As for the other bosses, they were already on timers. And we had websites and apps to track those timers.

Nothing dynamic about that.

Don’t look at me like that. Whatever you’ve heard, it’s probably not true.

The concept of a Living World is what lured so many people to the game, and this contradicts it. All I can do now is picture Shatterer looking at his clock, waiting for his alarm to go off so he can fly over Blazeridge Steppes and get hit for 10 minutes by a group of 15-30 people standing on a hill…

The difference is that you could guest to other servers and do a boss if it wasn’t up, allowing you to do a boss multiple times, especially if you don’t have a lot of time to play.

Now we have to wait 2 hours at a minimum.

Living and timed, dynamic and scheduled aren’t opposite, word-wise. Real life cycles are very repetitive, and an escheduled phenomenon could still react and “change”.

In this case, the events still can vary, or fail. The problem is the “feeling” of life and dynamism… something more akin to “naturalness”.

Big events never give the idea of true life. Too schematic, too abstract. Animals and the day-night gradient doesn’t look natural, either. The most life-like part of this game seems to be WvW… and not necesarily in the good way… more in the fish-school/locust-swarm way…

that it makes every other class in the game boring to play.”

Living and Dynamic world technically never existed in general PvE of this game, unfortunately. Timed boss spawns is a system that makes most sense under megaserver architecture. And as mentioned, there’s already website that lists when which event will happen, so the argument is really moot.
