so, as i got all excited for the feature patch, i was hoping with all my might that there would be weapon additions. we all know they’re overdue, especially spears. what’s with the delay?

The land spears are a must. Scythe, whip, and crossbow are other weapons I would like to see. I actually have a list of weapons I want to see, but I can’t find it atm. But yea, I agree completely about needing spears, but I wasn’t expecting it in that feature patch.

I don’t think we’ll ever see scythes, unfortunately. There are already 3 scythe skins available as staves, not to mention the fact that necros are able to turn any staff into a scythe.

But spears should definitely happen, I agree. (and great axes, crossbows, and possibly whips)

Here are a couple of suggestions I’ve made regarding spears. I mainly like the idea for elementalists having magic javelins.

But yeah, there should be spears on land sometime in the future.

@Oliver: Whips and crossbows would be awesome! Though I could see the crossbow as a rifle skin too, if Anet doesn’t want to make it it’s own weapon.
