Will there ever be a patch that lets us exceed the 33% movement bonus? Because Thief has the trait that lets them move 50% faster while stealthed, BUT its actually only 33%. Engineer’s Super speed, which potentially makes them able to run 200% faster (double speed) but again, it’s only 33%.
Necros would be able to run 75% faster while in death shroud, but nope. it’s only 33%.

I get how that would be completely OP and thats why the cap was put on, but sometimes, you just wanna get out of a grizzly situation when you have a +50% movement speed bonus but it stops at 33%. then using swiftness is pointless.

it’d be awesome if the cap was increased to 50% at the most, 45%, or 40%.

But then considering this, it would be unfair to ranged attackers/projectiles because you could simply strafe/avoid their attacks without really dodging, especially in Pvp. But then, just have the velocity of every projectile increased accordingly… or just keep the movement at 33% cap?

33% is good. I would prefer the possibility to stack it, 25% with trait + 25% with runes => 33%. Like it was on GW1

I agree 33% is nice, but I would like to see the skills like Super Speed go past that. Since the duration of Super Speed is quite short it is not OP. Maybe the thief 50% speed in stealth needs to be reduced to 40%?

Alot of range reliant builds in spvp seem to zip around the arena really fast when in combat. I hate it when I have to chase them……

Only if the classes that don’t have access to perm 25-33% speed can obtain it. Can you imagine perm 33%+25% classes running around. My poor guardian cant keep up as it is already!

Someone get me a mount already!

Just get yourself an engi with medpack and centaur runes as a sidekick.

All the traits / skills you named work exactly like they should as far as i know.

No movement speed enhancing boon, skill or status exceeds 133% or +33% of movement speed. Being in combat means you have 66% movement speed.

In combat total speed stats:
Base 66%
Passive speed bonus 82.5%
Swiftness ~88% (66% and 33% of 66%)
Fleet Shadow 99% (66% and 50% of 66%)
Super Speed 133% (66% x2)

You never exceed the 133% mark. Try it out, last time i tried Fleet Shadow will not let me move faster thn a swiftness user outside combat, but in combat it will. And i am certain that super speed works the same.

50% would make sense on Mounts where you only get it while OUT OF COMBAT.

Infact that probably be the best way to get more supply (vs demand) on some of the Herbs and Food that’s completely overpriced right now. …. some dishes are going for 20-30s a piece just b/c Anet won’t make Herb Gathering any easier. How ridiculous is that?

It’s not. It’s what makes certain herbs worth gathering.

Even if you have to stoop to <gag> going to mid-level areas and be exposed to all the cool events there.
