I was just wondering why the Spinal Blades backpiece where designed in such away as if you want to change the color of your backpiece say from red to green you can not.

Help me out here i don’t think i’m the only on thinking this but why is this?
you see I don’t really understand this chose made about the backpieces why where they design in such away that you cant change the color again if you so chose?

Lest say down the line you change your characters color scheme and want to make your spinal backpiece match or you just happen to make an mistake and pick the wrong Assault Knight Power Core to craft your backpack and end up with a color you did not want. what do you do then suck it up and make another one at 100g really?

All i ask is that you let us put the backpiece back into the mystic forge once it been change to red,blue or green with the same recipe you use now to change its to a different color.

E.g
4 Elonian Wine
+ 10 Pile of Crystalline Dust
+ 10 “insert correct Assault Knight Power Core here”
+ ever your static, Synergetic or Dynamic Tempered Spinal Blades

Putting those 4 items into the Mystic Forge to change it color again. is that really to much to ask?

I think this is a good idea.

It would be alot better if they stayed account bound, instead of soulbound.

I think it would be better if we could do like you said (put colored version in MF with the necessary items to change the color), but instead of making it only that color, it unlocked the ability to right click on it and select one of the ‘unlocked’ colors (like picking stats for legendaries). Thus if you put the same ascended backpiece in 3 time, you could swap (at will) between the four colors (orange, blue, green, and red).
