Anyone get any spirit shards to drop off mobs yet? I’m interested to know if the drop rate for these is close to the same rate as gaining a level as before, or if I should expect to see spirit shard packs in the gemstore soon…

Haven’t seen even 1 drop yet, though doesn’t the daily completion thing give you a bag of 3?

I think I got one from opening nearly 300 of those embroidered coin purses from SW. And yes they also give you 3 as part of completing your dailies.

I’ve gotten at least one I’ve noticed as a drop (from Champ tendril in the silverwastes) and another couple from champ bags. Over time I don’t think it’s going to be an issue of getting them. But we’ll see.

I did the daily pretty fast last night and somewhere in there I got 3 spirit shards. I’m not sure if it was a drop or in a daily chest reward or in an embroidered bag from the SW chest in my home instance.

I’d wager we’re going to see much less of them from normal activity, possibly dwindling to black lion chest content and bags in the Nexon Shop.

They were much too abundant before. I think Anet will let them drain out of the economy for a while and then readjust if needed.

Since they are no longer used to buy skills and traits, I’m expecting the drop rate to be lowered. There is no reason for them to drop as frequently when 2 of their 3 functions were given to Hero Points. They now only need to drop often enough to keep the buying part functioning.
