Before Christmas when in the patch notes or ads for LS2 were going around, it aid that the ending of LS season 2 there would be a huge announcement. I posted in a few threads something to the gist of “Maybe at the end they will announce an expansion?” and most people disagreed. Looks like I was correct in the end! Hype Train on the rails!

if it includes new races to play as, I was hoping it would be kodan, but I highly doubt it will be in this one, as kodan would not fit in very well to the desert/modremoth areas. Maybe when we finally take out Jormag. Still hope they add new classes, or at least introduce new weapons, or let some classes use new weapon types.

Then you find out its just the next living story arc.

I highly doubt it, as they have been calling these past few seasons specifically “season 1” and “Season 2” , why would they make season 3 “Heart of thorns”? And that ending cut-scene looked a lot like a promotional trailer.

Dunno. I’m still concerned about the content and the quality of whatever is coming next. Comparing S1 and S2, I feel that S1 was much better. I felt like S2 was basically a prelude to Heart of Thorns. I also felt that the protagonist was particularly idiotic throughout the second half of S2.

I need a moment to think.

It had much more lore and background stuff, but the first one had much more epic moments Imo, killing scarlet, the marionette battle, those were awesome.

at best, you’ll end up with even more fluff, a system change that screws ppl over and 1 more small zone for max level.

the only thing that makes me thing “now that’s something to look forward to” is ether a really big expansion the size and scope of EotN or something much bigger like chapter sized lands, anything less makes the hype uncalled for.

There is no confirmation it’s an expansion. People really need to stop saying it is as if it’s true. lol.

everything points to it being an expansion though, the cinematic feels like it could be used as a trailer, it was a high point in the story, and its trademarked. why trademark just another season? why give it its own name?

I don’t see a Cat Mail Carrier trademark here.

Yeah, we don’t exactly have confirmation that it’s an expansion yet. It likely IS, because you generally only trademark “big stuff”, but let’s wait till PAX South first.
