There are sometimes little moments that make you unexpectedly go “Woah!”. It might be discovering a stunning location, winning an improbable fight, meeting great people, dropping something amazing that you desperately wanted. Sometimes it’s little things, sometimes it’s a combination of unlikely events.

This thread here is for you to reminice about these spontaneous moments of awesome that come out of nowhere and can make your day. Share them and maybe you’ll make someone smile =)

A few days ago I was running around Caledon Forest and found the Krait witch active. Called out im map chat, but it wasn’t a busy time so only two other people came. Many of you know how hard this boss is, especially for a starting area, she hits insanely hard and can easily whoop your sorry behind even in full exotic gear. And there we were, three lowbies and me on my squishy thief. We knew we were in to die, we still tried (maybe zerg her down via waypoint). The guardian kited her around the wall, me and a ranger trying to stay alive long enough to pop out as much damage as possible from far, crippling her with traps for improved kiting, shadow refuge on constant cooldown to pick people up, it was glorious. And then she was down to 30% and I realized: we are going to do this! We will make this! And the rest of the fight was pure bliss till she fell. That was amazingly satisfactory. And kudos again to that guardian for the great job kiting, brilliant display of skill!

I’ve had quite a few of those moments in the game. The one that sticks in mind was the first time I attempted the borderlands jumping puzzle. I had no idea where to go, or what to do, particularly after getting the first key. I kept trying stuff and failing because I didn’t know where to go.

Suddenly, I’m face to face with the enemy….I’m and ready to jump off a cliff, but the guy does /point instead and then stops and waits to make sure I’m not going to attack him.

This enemy from the Blackgate borderlands, I couldn’t even see his name, led me through the rest of the jumping puzzle step by step.

At the end, I bowed to him and he bowed back and ported out.

It was a great feeling.

I had a lot of these while leveling, and still do ocassionally throughout the world. I think leveling in this game was my best experience so far, unfortunately. Now, my time and mind is consumed with reward, efficiency, grinding, grinding, grinding, legendaries, and is this game steering into the wrong direction of both item/gear progression and RNG/Casino-style gambling?

I have very little of these “woah” moments. But when I do, its scenery, or some awsome lighting effect. I must say, the art team for GW2 is second to none.

A week or so ago the sky in Kessex Hills. I was at the edge of a rain cloud. I could actually walk into and out of the rain. The sky was nicely dramatic as well. In previous games I only encountered zone wide weather.

Ive seen that too
I actually watched storm clouds roll in…in Kessex I believe.

Again, environment and graphics..that team deserves a medal.
