Was testing some of the foods and noticed Spring Rolls grant up to 5mins 30s of swiftness from a few kills.

The food gives:
+20% boon duration
30s of swiftness per kill.

Boons don’t have a maximum duration, rather a maximum amount of ‘stacks’ they can have. If I remember correctly most duration stacking boons have an internal stack counter of 5 or so.

When you combine this with boon duration increases it can bump it up pretty high, so assuming 100% boon duration each ‘stack’ of swiftness is giving 60 seconds, granting upwards of the five minutes you’re seeing.

oh i always assumed max was a little over 1min with skills

either way it’s very nice for map completion and possible really nice for new players

EDIT: some extra facts. There is no ICD on the food. I had 10% boon duration from traits, not sure if that matters.

EDIT2: Just double checked with 0% boon duration and still get 5mins 30s.

Sigil of Speed is similar as you can stack perma swiftness pretty easily. The “Major Sigil of Speed” is cheap too.

(massive loss of damage)

<snicker> uh huh, it’s SO massive it’s absolutely game breaking!! No, if it’s even 10% is not significant enough to worry about. Also, if this one food is so beneficial for the expansion, you can bet they’ll be new recipes for craftable versions of this food. Look at all the original Dragon Bash foods, craftable version became available.

For the few whom are trying to pull a “pump and dump” with this item on the TP, realize no one should will be falling for it. You are simply trading amongst yourselves.

Swiftness is easy to achieve with most classes. And there are free consumables for the rest of them.

That wasn’t the question though. The question was: at what price? One utility slot, two? .

One inventory slot, that’s all you need to keep one stack of “Pots of hylek poison” for on-demand swiftness

You forgot to mention the “price” of pots of hylek poinon. You can’t actually be in combat using those pots. And while holding the pot (and being unable to fight), you get 10 seconds of swiftness on a 15 second cooldown.
