I would like to see them implement a sprint mechanic using the special action key (the one currently used for raids but not anywhere else) and the stamina bar (the same one as the glider). This would be as simple as pressing the special action key and then using stamina to move faster until you run out. To prevent spamming/stuttering the sprint they could add a three second cooldown or so when you stop sprinting. It would help alleviate the problems with some professions not having increased movement speed skills or traits and it would let everyone choose new traits and skills they want instead of traiting/taking skills to gain movement speed. As far as raids go, when you go into a raid the special action key would switch to whatever is needed for that raid.

Every class already has access to their own swiftness, and a sprint bar mechanic like this would make gw2-unique things like stacking swiftness in lightning fields obsolete, which is a bad thing imo

I’d prefer to see mounts rather than sprinting if we are going to add mobility since mounts look BA and they are another thing that we could collect. It’d also make the mobility of classes more uniform (which is good and bad). they could give like 40% movement speed to not make the world feel small. Im sure anet wont implement that though…

You just need to understand that in this game, speed, health and damage are tradeoff of each other. You can’t have it all. And that is good.

that it makes every other class in the game boring to play.”
