Stacking & Zerging
Anet shouldn’t do anything about it. I want to claim that I am skillful by easymode stacking on content.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
The game wasn’t designed with stacking in mind, it was around “play what you want”.
You can scream “I play how I want!” until you’re blue in the face, but there will always be an optimal way to play.

There’ll always be optimal builds for farming. I don’t think I ever said anything different (I currently use a fairly meta-ish build myself); just stated what IMHO has been the core idea behind dungeon/PvE design.
“You all have to play the game how I want you to guys!” No thanks.
You don’t like stacking or gear checks? Heres a novel idea, run in one of the multitude of groups which doesn’t use stacking or gear checks or even better ceate your own.
You don’t like zergs in WvW? Roam then. Are people seriously surprised that there are zergs in open world pvp?
I guess the point is indeed pretty clear. The “play how I want” crowd has morphed into the “you must all play how I want crowd”.
GW2 doesn’t let you play how you want when the want is to win. Yes I can do all the idiotic things you suggested but I will just end up dead because GW2 has morphed into something different then was originally advertised. It is easy to insult and disagree with peoples points it is much harder to understand and admit that he has a valid point that needs to be addressed. Stacking and Zerging are sucky play styles that are easy for Anet to implement. The bosses were supposed to scale with the amount of players. What happened to that? I think Anet got very lazy and as long as people like you blinding drink their Kool-Aid nothing will change or improve.

Do you really expect a boss that 10 players can fight will scale up to be an equivalent challenge for 50? The creature would have to have different mechanics, essentially making a different boss entirely for a certain threshold of players.
Would be nice if champions scale more than just hp. How can a champion fight 30 people if he has a damage output similar or even the same as a champion that fights 1-5 people and he can only hit up to 5 people but usually just 3? Even if champs would one shot players, 25 are already ready to revive poor lads.

Sounds cool to me.
I realized how badly scaling works in this game, when i duoed Golem Mark II with a mesmer and myself as a necro in 3 minutes after it got patched …

Sounds like a gigantic waste of time to spend building multiple bosses for one creature. I’d rather they just build bosses targeting certain groups of players, or build better dungeons instead.

waste of time to one man, good content to another, they can also spawn multiple bosses, say an ogre and his brother or new hazards in the area. Would actually make dynamic events you know, dynamic

I find it somewhat ironic that you bring up “it’s easy to insult..” when you go on to spend your time insulting me, Anet and anyone else who happens to disgree with you.
What exactly is “idiotic” about using the LFG tool to find or create groups which match your playstyle?
What exactly is “idiotic” about roaming in WvW?
Do you honestly think “it’s sucky and anyone who disagrees with me is an idiot!” is a strong argument? Because it certainly isn’t.

I really don’t understand. People want large group content in this game, so Anet provided it. People want ways to interract with each other so team play feels impactful, so Anet provided it. People wanted challenging content that cannot be facerolled, so Anet is starting to provide it.
Combo stacking is tactical use of your skills and is an intented part of the game. If a boss is a walk in the park due to stacking then the problem is with the boss, not the stacking.
Zergs are an indication that there is a reason for players to join forces, and if content is easy because of it then that is a problem with the content, not the zerging.
I love the combo field system and I love to see lots of players working together. So if you have a problem with content being trivialized by these two tactics, don’t complain about the very good systems, complain about the very bad encounters.
It’s like saying ‘That stationary target was too easy to kill because my gun’s bullets are too fast’.

I also fail to see the problem.
That said, it would be interesting to see the effect if body-blocking were added to the game, forcing people to spread out.

Spot on. The Jungle Wurm is an example of a boss that cannot be defeated unless a zerg splits their forces evenly, and further subdivide their efforts among specific roles among the encounter.
Focus fire is a bad thing now?
Let’s just be honest with ourselves the Developers designed the entire game to work around the sPvP system of maps with 5v5 being the ideal situation. PbAoE buffs, target limits, and most of the mechanics all make sense in that environment, however then they proceeded to use that same design (with band-aid fixed siege for WvW) and you see where the problems originate. Slightly off topic it also shows glaringly in the current annoyance the general PvP community hold towards spirit ranger and minion master necromancer.
