Standing Desks, Do They Work?
Aye, tis true.
Ever since this game came out, I’ve gained weight and look like a Norn.
I exercise, but not enough.

I don’t see how looking like a Norn is a bad thing, the women are boombastic
unfortunately it’s more like female quaggans than norn in a lot of places.
for me sitting is actually beneficial. I have very low blood pressure and a condition, so standing up for too long can lead to me fainting. I guess I’m lucky like that
I remember after a back surgery years ago I could only stand so my mum used my wardrobe as a table. Try doing that? Or a shelf?
I wish I had a stand up desk . Especially at work. They are better for your back too. Be sure to get one of those super soft things to stand on. They are usually sold to go in front of sinks. It’s like standing on a cloud.

That picture just scared the crap out of me. Brb making use of gym membership for the first time in months.
Basically if you sit to long you get fat which in return kills you more than others.
I’m not fat, so basically I’m not at risk for sitting too long.
I use a drafting table which elevates my keyboard up to standing waist height (which is quite a ways up on someone 6’1"). Most of my computer use-related health problems have reduced or gone away entirely.
It killed the tendons on the backs of my legs at my knees, though, especially the first few weeks. But they were weak from sitting before, I guess. I suggest supplementing the arrangement with a stool of proper height which you can use 30-50% of the time to rest with.
TLDR: Go for it, especially if you dislike dying young.
Put a cactus on your puter chair. That should make it standing PC game time!

standing is better for the body, our body was never designed to sit for long periods. Standing will decrease our mortality rate but…
I’m willing to give a few years away to be able to sit for the next 50 yrs xD
It’s sitting still that is not good for you. And not sitting correctly, with your back not supported.
I wouldn’t want a standing desk. I prefer to use a good quality chair, and take a lot of breaks, getting up, stretching, etc.
Standing desks are apparently pretty great. Even better is a standing desk on one end of a treadmill.

This is sadly wrong, a fat active person is less likely to have a heart condition than a sedentary skinny one.
I’d rather have cold scientific fact other that a poorly drawn picture as proof in this matter.

you could stand all day and still not gonna get out alive or make it past 90 on average…
try some exercise and shave off the neck beard…seriously
Just sit in comfort, get fat & have fun!
If you snuff it, well, you won’t be about to know it & the other poor kittens get the joy of carrying your fat kitten in a box!

yes, stand-up desks are viable. see if you can improvise one before going out and buying a new desk though.
