So today as I was about to finish my acolyte of Dwayna, for glory, swag, and title by salvaging the item, it did not unlock in the collection tab.
As for the other part of collection, such as Dwayna’s Embrace, I salvaged it and it unlocked the collection for me, which is the reason why I started the entire collection.

Now if the skins/collections were to be only unlocked by right clicking, then I would agree that it is completely my fault, but as we all know there are various ways to unlock skins other than the right click. Almost all the time I was accustomed to having my skin/collection unlocked by salvaging, and on wiki there was no warning or mention of specific unlocking method.

I don’t know if there are any other items or if it was an oversight by anet, but I wanted to know if this happened to other players as well.

I don’t mean to be rude or make fun of you, but are you sure that the Star of Dwayna was an exotic piece?

Just to clarify the previous post – there is a Fine and an Exotic quality version.

However, being that the Star of Dwayna is an amulet there is no skin for it and salvaging it will not unlock anything. You should have had to right click it and select the Unlock Achievement option

Yeah but what I was assuming is that since ring was unlocked through salvaging amulet could have done it as well. And on wiki they didn’t really specify as to how you were suppose to unlock it. Also it was an exotic version as well

Oh, I see what you mean now. I was unaware that any trinket would unlock upon salvaging. That does indeed sound like an oversight then :\

Yes i did put in a support ticket and when armors and weapons do get unlocked by salvaging, I thought it was safe to assume that the amulet would do the same since the ring was also unlocked like that.

Just contact the customer support with time and time zone of the salvage and tell them you salvaged it by mistake. If its the first time you salvaged/destroyed something by mistake they will help as far as I know.
