Would it be possible for Anet to also make all the races starter toturial areas into a megaserver location? Every time I create a new character it is always empty and you have to do the boss fight alone. Imo this may be a bad impression for new players I believe it would be much funner for them if their first experience was with a lot of other players instead of alone.

All pve zones are megaserver.

Oh, you mean the character creation thing? Seems reasonable.

I’ve found they usually do group multiple players into the same starting instance- might be nice it it were more per, though. Might depend on time of day. The boss can 100% always be fought solo easily though.

I make new characters regularly, and sometimes I am alone, and sometimes I am not. Still, soloing the Boss is very easy; in fact, you can just stand back and let the NPCs do it.

I have played this game since launch day, I seriously thought that starter instance was single player only only, cause I have never seen anybody else in it, I didn’t even know there were supposed to be other players in there. lol.

You sure have some skills at picking the deadest time to play if you didn’t see anyone in there during launch.

Yeah if you wanna see other players in there start a human and you will see the key farmers. :P

Since when did this business of being a hero become being a business?

I don’t think there were many of those at launch. More likely to see ones making characters for the names.

The starting area has always worked like you want. You could have seen it at launch, when it was constantly filled.
Now it is empty simply because at this one moment you are likely the only person with a new character.

Actions, not words.

I don’t think it is too hard. I just think new players should have an mmo experience as soon as they take the first step in the game and not a single player experience.
Some new players might get bored doing it alone where doing it with a large group of players would be more exciting for a brand new players.

If there does not happen to be anyone creating a character at the same time you are, how long would you be willing to wait to play? 5 minutes? 10 minutes? 30 minutes? 1 hour? How many people must there be to start the instance for an ‘MMO experience’? 5? 10? 25?

It could be a long wait to play depending on the criteria set, and that would probably turn people off more than playing that 2-5 minute instance alone, I would imagine.
