Guild Wars 2

Hello,
I never really got far on GW2, despite my buying it at launch.

I’ve made another topic on the support forum about the amount of disk space it will consume (GW2 and HoT).

Regardless, if I have enough space, I will likely return AND pre-order HoT next week.

At the same time, is GW2 welcoming to someone who only has toons in the starting zones?

The .dat file for the core game is about 20GB (at least that’s how big mine is) if that’s what you’re asking.

I’ve always felt that there is a surprising number of people starting whenever I start a new toon (+ many higher level chars trying to get map completion although in lv 1-10 they tend to 1-shot everything)

Yes, this game is very friendly to starting zone players. Especially now thag the Queensdale champion farm is more or less gone. Feel free to ask in mapchat if you need help or have a question. You can even post in the lfg (in your contacts) under open world that you are a “new” player who has questions and/or needs help. I’m sure you will get people who would love to join you. I’ll give it a shot. I LOVE MMO’s, and MMO’s without a monthly fee… YAY!

I am on a MacBook Pro, I just need to make sure I have the disk space.

I’ll get on it. If I like it I think i’ll pre-order the expansion next month.
