Starting areas all seem empty!
nope… i was doing the daily achievement in the human starter zone and was literally full of people.
really in queensdale? ive seen some mid range zones pretty empty but queensdale is usually packed, maybe come over to Anvil Rock?
It’s Thanksgiving in the US, so the population could possibly be slim pickings until later.
For instance, I’m not online all day due to being charged with the heinously grindy task of doing the turkey. And now I have the pies in.
Pray for my soul, people.

IDK.. im from Sorrow’s Furnace. I saw a lot of people in a lot of zones: Queensdale. The map south queensdale (i dont remember his name). Like 50 people doing Jormag’s claw and other 50 doing The Shatterer…
Welcome to Guild Wars 2! A MMO minus the “multiplayer” aspect.

Actually, lots of MMO’s are like this after a few months from release. Everyone is on their mains most of the time and in the endgame zones. Sure, you’ll find some people, but you will never find a ton of people there again unless they do events/change something to an area.
Welcome to the gear progression (no need to do anything) FoTM
Lots of the zones are very low on population since the FoTM release simply because there’s no reason to do anything but that that’s were all the fatz loot is. And you can start em at lvl 1 Wohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah man, I’m on Isle of Janthir and just started an Ele the other day. I can’t go 5 mins without seeing a bunch of people.
They need to figure a way to get everyone a reason at high levels to go to all the zones in the game. If it were me, I’d make it the main goal. For me it’s a bit hit and miss, some days it’s pretty barren, most days its a few extra’s and some days like yesterday it was hoping.
Normally high level players will go there for dungeons. After the new dungeon and new area came out… well, even dragons got no people to visit…
the players are there, but they get culled before you see them, watch for pets running alone…
Asking where people are on Thanksgiving is right up there with the thread that asked where everyone was on an early Monday morning. There are times where people will be online and there are times where they won’t be online.
There will probably be a lot of traffic over this coming weekend. Try then.
I’d say the most populated zones are 1. Lion’s arch by a lot then Queensdale Cursed Shore, Norn Starting area and the other starting areas following minus the grove. None of the starting area seem to exceed 20-30 people total even at peak.
Most other zone most likely have around 5-10 players in it at any given time.
The servers population is rigged on the world select screen. They were listed as high full when all zones were packed at launch and many forcing people into overflow. They are still listed the same with all zones empty. Despite people that disagree, having leveled 5+ toons I can say all zones are dead most events cannot be completed, unless you are on a geared 80 downscaled. Thanksgiving has nothing to do with it. Servers need to be merged or underflow servers made it’s a huge problem.
To make matters worse they added gear progression in a single dungeon in Lion’s Arch so no one has any reason to be anywhere but LA.
