Guild Wars 2

It’s been a third of a year since i played this game so I was wondering what’s new? I used to play a lot of ranger and necro so anything new in store for that? Help me out here!

In b4 dont play necro/ranger in pve

-New live story Flame and Frost: check out Wayfarer Foothills and Diessa Plateau
-New Story mission: check your mail
-no culling in wvw
-new wvw World XP and World Ranks
-Guild mission

There has been some crap temporary content put out now and then but the game is pretty much just how it was at launch.

If you like the idea of vertical gear progression and want to show that you like VP and want more of it, then there is some ‘Ascended’ gear for you to get now, with more planned for the future.

There has been nowhere near 7 months worth of improvement made to this game if that is what you are wondering.

…and yea, don’t play Ranger/Necro, they get nerfed every patch lol.

WvW is pretty awesome now. I’ve been having an absolute blast since the update a few days ago.

Ok first off, don’t listen to people when they tell you not play ranger/necro/thief, I have all three of these and I have no problems. In fact, if played right, they are still the most OP classes. They have gotten significant nerfs so some builds are no longer viable but in general the playstyle is the same. Now, in general, there haven’t been many big changes since launch but there are some small ones that are important such as new waypoints and POI’s, boss nerfs, etc. Your best bet for good info is look at the patch notes from the past. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Game_updates

I just came back as well and I’m sad to see no one in starting zones anymore as I re-rolled a new character so I could get back into the game.

I’m currently on Maguuma and I was on Darkhaven before using some gold to Transfer to what I thought was a more populated server.

Anyone know which servers are actually populated? Kinda sucks not being able to do group events and such since no one is in these areas anymore, :’(.

I came back a few weeks ago, and the zones are empty, leveling is a chore cause there is no one around, they used to all be at the dragons, but now even that sucks since anet changed the loot, so theres not as many people doing that either.
on the plus side they added some anime style back packs and some hoodies and now the super fun box…..hahahaha so going back on a break from this game, so not worth my time.

I wouldn’t listen to the fools crying don’t play ranger. If you’re not a total bumbling fool you can do very well. I play on Tarnished Coast and there’s plenty of people to play with. Tons of new content for festivals which you’ve missed. There’s been a new story system added with the ability to do genuine in game cinematic scenes which is nice. Quite a lot I’m sure I haven’t even touched.
