Hi I have always wondered why certain traits are tied to certain lines depending on the class. I e, critical damage versus boon duration etc.

Usually they represent the trait line’s theme.
Like getting alot defensive effects/ boons when learning the line with toughness.

Also for balance reasons, anet don’t want you having complete no-brainer trait lines all the time.
