Stepping up the game!
1 – Bring back muilti class!
Expand the meta (or break it) so a player has a sense of uniqueness on his avatars, plus turning pvp more diverse.
Anet explicitly said that they removed that from GW2 because it was a nightmare for class balance in GW1 and it would never be repeated.
It would be fun, but just forget about it.
2 – Mash all into a big world!
Lay down the mist on top os the pve world, make WvW a invasion for resources or control, this kind of strife that drives and pull comunities together.
Open World PvP go against the game philosophy of a cooperative game (in PvE), if you are looking for this feature you should look for another game.
3 – Open the Seas!
As one of the best water combat seen in a MMO, its pains me to see its so underexplored, open the seas for navigation with ships and naval combat, make island keeps that guilds can claim, make that vast map of Tyria a sandboxy experience
I agree with this one, it would be awesome, specially if you read the GW2 novel Sea of Sorrows.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)

Open World PvP would require dedicated servers separate from the general servers as it would interfere with PvE events. EQ2 learned this lesson quickly after the initial launch back in 1999. “Facets” for PvP don’t work either.
Mega Servers is going to be as close to “open world” as we’re going to get. And its been fine so far.
Don’t get me wrong.. the 1997 UO player in me would love to run around aimlessly killing anybody in sight at will. It just doesn’t work these days however. The carebears tend to like their PvP on their own terms.. not yours or mine.
Naval combat! Now THAT I would love to see and do!

Well I’d prefer Airship combat, but hey why not.
Everything you are asking for would require a monumental overhaul of the game engine. I can promise you that Anet will never consider doing that for GW2, as that time is much better spent producing new content.
1. No, just no.
2. Seen this attempted in more than a few games, and it was a nightmare for casuals or those who want only to PvE. Griefing and ganking would become norm. It’s already bad enough you need to go into the Mists to get your World Map done. So, no.
3. That will happen in the future when Bubbles the Water Dragon appears. But, given ArenaNet’s disposition about water and underwater content . . . I wouldn’t hold my breath . . . pun intended.
No to first two but I agree that ANet is missing a great opportunity by not increasing and improving underwater combat.
eta: Oh yeah and on-water combat too. Pirates! Yaaarrrrr!!!!

Underwater/above water combat, etc., might be cool.
But absolutely no on your first 2 ideas.
Mmo players with a screw loose vs mmo players with two screws loose. All very important stuff.
