Still love the game
I agree.
despite all the problems and issues that has been done, the game is still pretty fun.
Just the motivation is slowly dying off…
Hopefully I can stay motivated when they remove the new tier gear so that everyone stays equal based on skills and continue with new contents with epic skins and cosmatic skill changes with expanded storyline and choices, I’m sure I’ll be playing much more again!
=)
I do too!
I rolled a new toon last night, my first Norn. Leveling through Wayfarer Hills I am blown away by the detail, my toon leaves footprints in the snow that slowly fill as the snow falls. The ambient sounds of snow plop plopping off of roofs. The sheer number of friendly, helpful players – this game has the best community of any MMO I’ve seen.
I see a couple technical issues with the game, namely player culling during big events or in areas with ginormous amounts of players like Lion’s Arch or WvW. Some QoL things could be added like a preview function in the Trading Post. But they’ve stated they are working on these things, I’m more than willing to be patient, they haven’t let me down yet and I simply love this game.
Same feelings here. The only problem with Ascended gear is the bottleneck of instanced content required to get it. Either way, it’s not something that breaks the game, especially right now.
It’s 2 inventory slots with something like a 3% stat increase. By the time the whole set is out they’ll have done something one way or another to calm down the people crying about it being the end of the world.
Yep same here! Love it!

My charr’s footprints face every direction but forwards, normally completely backwards. x.x I think it has to do with the run animation for charr, but it was rather funny when I noticed it.
I don’t fully agree. By wich I mean I’m enjoying parts of the game, but never as much as I expected when i started the game.
So yes: I’m rather disapointed in a lot of things.
Luckily not in all, or I just wouldn’t play, or post for that matter.
It’s not my intention to ‘ruin’ this topic by the way.
I’m giving feedback just like the posts above me.
Just not the same
The OP has written a nice view on how he enjoys the game, without saying others are wrong or should feel the same.
I like that.
Honestly: I do.
note: out of respect, and fear of derailing the topic, I am not going to list what disapoints me.
You can find other threads where I explain IF you absolutely want to know. Which you don’t…
I’m still enjoying the game although that’s probably because I’ve not reached level 80 yet. I also thoroughly enjoyed the halloween event (Most fun I’ve had on an MMO for a loooooong time) and I’m hoping that next month’s event will be on a similar level
Of course there are things about the game that annoy me, but I guess that coming from Runescape makes GW2’s problems look like a drop int he ocean :P

I enjoy it more now that I’ve reached 80. I skipped all dungeons except AC before 80. I actually find leveling up toons to be a bit slow and tedious. I have two lvl 80’s and no plans to make another. Instead I’m now enjoying a lot of the content I skipped earlier, focusing mostly on dungeons. After that I plan on world exploration. After that lots of casual WvW.
