(Not sure if there’s a topic about this yet. Please, put your torches and pitchforks down.)

It appears that a blue cube has been placed in the northern part of Rata Sum, slightly west of Magustan Court Waypoint.

The fun thing is, it seems to have a game pad with a holo-screen above it, showing certain sprites of objects like trees, mountains and what-not.

I might be searching too far about this, but I just felt like doing so!

It seems that the cube is a certain console for a minigame, since some people already found some special coins that describe something about a minigame.
The fact that it’s a cube might just be

I’ve been making fun around and named it the ‘Gamecube’.
But then I noticed, the dog-faced Asura is named Moto.

To think about it, what does that name have to do with a gaming console?

Well, it seems that the Gamecube belongs to Nintendo. And guess who manages the Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development branch?
That’s right! Shigeru Miyamoto.
And with that, I’m guessing the Asura named Moto resembles Miyamoto, since he mentioned he was busy with his invention, the (what I nicknamed it) Gamecube.

I could also be wrong, though!

It’s the “Super Adventure Cube”! It even has it’s own huge achivement tab, although it’s probably an April fools joke from ANet, A few minutes/hours the content page for April was up and it had this 8-bit banner at the top (basically an 8-bit GW2 logo)

There’s also found a few “Super Weapons” in the PvP locker.¨

TL:DR It’s most likely the ANet April fools for 2013.

Well, I wouldn’t find it a funny joke, to be honest.
It’d be like telling someone that he/she is invited to a party that person was looking forward to and then telling that person it was just a joke.

So, if this one would be Anet’s joke, I bet a lot of people would be disappointed, seeing as Anet’s April fools 2012 joke was quite a harsh one, as I have heard.

And don’t come up with the “Commando class joke” because that one was way too obvious.

Well, considering chests and such are dropping items related to the Super Adventure box such as the Continue Coin I think it’ll be more than just a joke.

Being funny isn’t the point of April Fools. The point is to get lots of people to fall for it, then it becomes funny.

It’s pretty elaborate way to go about a hit-or-miss April fool’s joke. It’s for real.

A better joke would be releasing a patch on April first downloading some useless localization files for yiddish or something but it has a mess of messed up patch notes. Adding silly features, alluding to false changes in the Diminishing Returns formula, fractal loot, and Mystic Toilet odds, quintupling the precursor drop rate on the Oversized Grub in the Eternal Battlegrounds, and a mess of trolly class balance changes. All of which will trigger actual serious forum discussions on such things making it double trollsome.

Then they actually put in and keep some of the more harmless changes making everyone speculate on if they actual changed anything important….

Be prepared.

After those who didn’t like jumping puzzles complained that they rather play Guild Wars 2 and not Mario. Anet is giving you Mario.
