Please excuse if this is in the wrong forum. I couldn’t figure out where this specific question should go.

I was wondering what the specific content differences are between the Guild Wars 2 Strategy Guides available?

The two guides to choose from are the Guild Wars 2 (Signature Series Game Guide), and the Guild Wars 2 Limited Edition (Game Guide).

What does each offer that the other does not? Pros and Cons of each?

Thanks,

Personally, I wouldn’t go with either. Strategy guides are great for other types of games, but for an mmo that is constantly being updated , they are worthless.

If you are a collector and simply have to choose one, choose your favorite looking one.

But as far as content, nothing will be as complete, or as fast, as typing, /wiki phrase in game. YouTube is the bane of official game guides.

Okay, I have to ask this…

Why on God’s green Earth would you want a guide for this game??? This is the Internet. Google is your friend. YouTube is pro as well.

You can find guides (well written, at that) for leveling, crafting, zone completion. You can find a totally interactive and completely fleshed-out map. You can get information on dragon spawn timers. You can probably find out where in Tyria Jimmy Hoffa is burried if you look hard enough!

Hope is the carrot dangled before the draft horse that plods along in the vain attempt to reach it

Trust me the strat guide by Brady just isn’t worth a darn. It really only covers the low level maps in detail. I had finished those 1-15 maps before. It has info on skills, ect—It was a superfical, incomplete guide rushed out to coincide with the games release.

As other have mentioned, there is better info all over the net.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the responses. If I ever find myself leaning towards making a purchase, I will review and consider your recommendations.

Just to clarify though, I am not asking for purchase advice or recommendations, so please excuse my poor grammar and the misunderstanding. Instead I was wondering what the specific content differences were between the two guides? What are the pro’s and con’s of each and what does each offer that the other does not?

Thanks to anyone that can help me with this question,
