FIrst off I will ramble a bit here so bear with me, also problem itself is minor thing, but it’s irritating enough for me.

RAMBLING :
I always prefered minimalistic UI, so turning off as many elements of it as possible is my thing. GW2 have way too many unnecessary UI elements in my opinion,

At some point I was forcing myself to finish story on every character I had and every session was starting with making daily. It’s tedious for me so why was I doing this ?
When you finish your personal story and daily those elements of Ui regarding story and daily disappear, and now it’s worse becuase we have living story.

I like to do things when I feel like it , not making them just so game stop bugging me.

Every Deity in world bless Immersice Combat Mode !

ICM solves my problem by letting me hide those elements from UI so they don’t bother me, but there is one little issue that keeps bothering me , they are still there, just hidden, it can’t remove them.

Whenever event happens notification for it appears under them instead of replacing them so not in upper right corner, but in the middle of right side, it’s worse with meta events wich makes permament box, I want to see events, hiding them is not option for me.
END OF RAMBLING

TO THE POINT :

  • Let me toggle on/off Daily box , event box, festive events box and any box for that matter as global setting
  • Let me quit Personal and Living story on my characters (you can quit Living, but it auto starts again on map change, so make quit button for personal too and don’t force autostart)

That all I had to say, it’s minor thing but it puts me off, I have no idea if there are others like me but my experience with gw2 will get better if I’m able to customize that part of UI (though I will still use ICM to remove other “cool looking” but not useful parts )

Thank you for reading

ps. It’s stupid that after being done with Personal game skips to season 2 instead of showing you recap of season 1 first, someone who never check journal window will never know that thing even exist and will be confused with random characters suddenly calling you their boss and talking like to a friend

Agreed with you, been annoyed that I couldn’t turn off those since launch. Especially story. I’ve done it once, and not interested in doing it again, so would like to turn it off.

You can do so with ICM, wooden potatoes had a video on this about a year ago, I can’t find the link but the programme is here:

http://wesslen.org/ICM/

I launch gw2 via this ever since I started playing the game, u can disable all the story, events hearts etc and u can customise all the UI in game. Like xp level, xp bar, screen orders, mini map, top left corner icons… Pretty much everything

Hope it helps

I mentioned few times that I USE ICM , but it only hides elements, wich means new elements still appear around them instead of them (Hearts appear before hidden daily box, meta events and hearts under it , so I have random blank space in UI ).

I would like in game option to remove them, not just hide (ICM will still be useful to hide every other part of UI). In general game lacks UI customization and at least ICM let me clean that mess quite nicely, but now that I did that I’m hungry for more so to say

ps. thank you for wanting to help anyway

Generally they need to go back and have another go at making the user interface much more customisable. The problem is they can’t find the time to do it. That probably means nothing will ever be done about any of this.
