Hey, it would be really nice if you turn the Dragonshirt (tonic) into a real armor piece you can use in combat.

Sure, you can use the tonic in combat but its still useless because you cant use the 6-0 skills (Why? Where is the sense?)

Now you could say the outfit doesnt fit into the game as a real armor…
If so, then please remove the Karka hat, Gw2 hat, sunglasses, festive hat, winters presence, nightfury, angle wings, most of the outfits, the moot, the dreamer, quip…

Otherwise the really nice shirt is useless and waste

It’s nice, but has some problems.

1) only a few people have this shirt. It was only given out at a couple of conventions in 2012. So, only a few got them and of that few, many probably don’t still play. That means they would be converting the tonic over for the benefit of a handful of people.
2) since it was only given out in 2012 to a few people, that means it’s a rare, commemorative item. ANet, so far, hasn’t had a history of remaking this sort of thing a gemstore item for everyone to get.

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

But they turned the Gw2 cap into a armor piece too.
It was in the Gemstore for around 2 weeks after the game’s launch, so not everyone has it.

A heck of a lot more people got that cap than the few hundred that got the shirt. The shirt required you to go to a convention, possibly on another continent, and be one of the few to get the card with the code, at most a few hundred people got it. The hat was given to anyone who logged on during that period of time (which was a time when most of the 2 million or so people who had bought the game at launch were still actively playing) and got it for free from the gem store by pushing a button.

It’s a matter of time and money. The cap was common enough that they decided it was worth the time and money spent to convert it to an armor piece. The shirt is so rare that probably only a handful of current players have it and since it’s a commemorative piece, I don’t see them making it widely available. They never have before to my knowledge.

Well, then let the players who got the shirt be happy by turning it into a armor piece.
You dont create such a nice shirt because you want players to have it dusty in their banks.

Well, good luck in your effort to get them to turn that shirt into an armor piece for the benefit of the handful of those that have it and still play.

Why are you against rare items not everyone has?

I would love to get the hairstylist contract & spirit smith, but its too expensive and rare-> i will never get it, but i feel happy for those who have it. (same with the loot from the GW1 “points”

Rare items->individuality

Dev time and budget money. Both of these are scarce resources. There are only so many Dev work hours in a day and only so many dollars in the budget.

If I thought they would rework it and put it in the gemstore for all, I would be all over this idea. If I didn’t have this shirt but it was something that large numbers of others have then I would say it’s a good use of scarce Dev time and resources even though it doesn’t benefit me. But an idea that uses up scarce Dev time and resources for the benefit of the tiny number of people that have this shirt and still play, then I say there are far, far more things deserving of scarce Dev time and and budget resources.

I dont think it costs that much money and time to convert one item.
Back in the days the shirt was a single piece and it also clipped with all other town pieces in the past.

It wouldnt be that hard.

Ok. Whatever you say. Good luck in your effort to convince the devs to find the time and the money from the budget to convert that shirt over to 3 separate pieces of armor with dye channels that don’t clash with the rest of the armor weights for the benefit of the very few that have this shirt.

Be careful what you ask for
