With the CDI thread being locked, perhaps can we discuss if it’d be a good idea to have such a thing implemented on here?
Honestly, I think it’d be nice. Sure, not all suggestions are good, but having a place where the discussion is kept only at the suggestion/proposals/etc would make for an ‘easy to look at’ place where there wouldn’t be all the other threads around.
For example, the polymock one, or the UI redesign one. I find it a pity to see threads like them being buried down 3:

No need, the devs already have Reddit for that.

They had one when they first started the forums. Don’t remember the reason for the closing of that section other than maybe to consolidate posts.

Was a suggestion forum but Anet close it because say hard for dev to find topic in area they work on.

That’s right, the Suggestions Forum was hard to parse. Having individual suggestions in the appropriate forum — a suggestion about Warrior balance in the Warrior forum, for instance — makes it easier to gather the input.

And when it existed it didn’t stop players from posting them in general. Actually having your suggestion moved to the suggestion board was a sure way to kill the discussion. The Suggestion forum was where suggestion threads went to die.

That’s why they now suggest (ironic) to post your suggestions onto the board for the specific game mode or profession. It still doesn’t stop them from appearing here.

Every forum is a suggestion forum.
