Suggestion: AFK players in the Silverwastes
Hmm, interesting suggestion! Do you think people AFK and plan to come back to get in on a “free” breach? Or do you think people just AFK in general with no other motive? Just curious. It’s probably both, but I have heard people say they stand around waiting for breach instead of defending, which seems silly since you get so much loot doing the events that lead up to breach.

They usually just toggle auto-walk which prevents them from being kicked for inactivity.
There either needs to be more policing of AFKers, or they need to retool the reward system so that being around the area is not enough to scale up events or grant a reward.
The only time being AFK is a problem in SW is if they’re within an event circle and scaling it up. Otherwise, they have no impact unless it’s over half the map that is AFK. The bosses, and VW, can be killed by a group of players each.
People AFK for both the free breach and because simply being close to one of the defense events gets you crests for it.
Mostly my problem is when a map is getting full and there are people who want in to actually PLAY but they can’t because slots are being taken up by those who are trying to ‘cheat’ their way into a bunch of bandit crests.
But I think mtpelion is probably right – the best way to deal with it is to take away the reward. Being present shouldn’t be enough to get the event reward.
I like rezzing them over and over, just to watch their armor disappear.

I used to do that when armor repairs required coins.
Seeing as the even the mobile afkers hit a crevice eventually and the map is overrun by tunneling roots of all shapes and sizes…
Could we not just add an invisible debuff which causes you character to be impaled by a vine from below if they don’t move in 5 minutes? It seemed to have happen to may NPCs in many areas before your character got there – obviously because those NPCs were afking in vine territory.
