Suggestion: Accountwide-class-training
Short version: I’d like this. I have a ton of alts, and trudging through walled-off HoT zones is cramping my progression and exploration.
Buuut, won’t happen. :P

You do realize that you’d be losing overall experience points towards any mastery progression you may be currently leveling if they implemented your suggestion, yea?
Hero points being character bound as opposed to account bound provides additional exp, as with character map completion/exploration. Despite how little exp it is you’re getting, it’s still better than none at all.
Not only that, but new players and anyone who simply wants more than 1 of the same class would be robbed of exp as well. There’s a reason some things like masteries are account bound and map-related things such as POI’s/WPs are not.
After running like 6 characters through to get the full elite unlock it goes really quickly for me now plus gives me some nice mastery exp. but that’s just me.
It’s rather an artificial separation when you think about it.
Let’s say someone has 5 level 80s, but they are all the same profession. Someone else has 5 level 80s, but each is a different profession. The first person can get his done fast while the second has to get it all done one by one. What makes having more than one of the same profession deserve special treatment rather than having an equal number of different professions?
ANet may give it to you.
For hp’s or other map completion? No thanks, not for me anyway. For crafting, yes!

I would say one of them is facing the challenges with a new skill set and toolbox each time and the other is enduring raw drudgery.
I wonder what your basis for comparison is…”
