[Suggestion] Add More Hair Matching Dyes
I don’t know about armor dyes matching hair, but I’m really wanting more variety in the accessory colours. Even with the self-style hair kits you only get those 21 starter colours. Better yet, make them dyeable with the armor.
So long Treeface.
“…Kormir? I know not of whom you speak.”
This would be fantastic- I have a purple-haired mesmer, and despite the huge amount of purple dyes, the only one I have found is a little on the grey-side.
However… different armour/armour textures/armour materials dye differently. The saturation and hue of a dye isn’t identical across different armour sets or even dye regions.
Subsequently, this means that even if they did add a dye specific to a hair colour, it wouldn’t necessarily be identical to the hair colour or dye swatch. This would be a major problem and require a lot of work to resolve.
I want a true teal hair color… (light, med, dark). The turquiose is too far on the blue side rather than the green side.
I’m trying to make a sylvari match the mordrem weapon color scheme and I currently cannot get it quite right.

I like this idea. Using armor dyes as hair dyes would be a great next step in customer convenience. A fantastic step would be to add three or four dye slots to the characters hair for thinks like main color, highlights, tips of the hair, etc.
I want that dyes on armor not change so extremly depending on the zone you are
while haircolors for example don’t change.
Take these 2 pictures … Hair and dye are mostly firmament .. in the first picture they are
nearly the same .. in the other the armor is light blue.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

That’s a bug, actually. Lighting affects your equipment, but not your character.
I would like to suggest adding more armour dyes which perfectly match hair colours for all materials. While there most likely are close dyes for most colours, I’m sure there are also hair colours which have no armour equivalents – especially among the new ones. Those colours could be named, say, something along “Precise [Hair Colour] Dye” and put into a Gemstore package.
My personal gripe is red for the new Flame hair colour; I’ve tried all (?) red and some orange dyes and still couldn’t find anything that matched the Flame hair and Dark Asuran Weapons type of red, which is saturated, bright and orangeish instead of magenta.
If you also know a hair color which doesn’t have a perfect match – add it here along with the race and armour material.
I noticed that you were having problems getting a matching dye for your armor. Firstly I must say this, different hair styles, on different race’s, and different armor sets tend to yield different results from each dye. While you may get the color you desire on one set using a certain dye, it may not yield the same result on another set. This also applies to the hair style as well. I found that different hair styles on different races yielded a slightly different color. Anyways for me I did find a matching color for the the Flame Hair color. The dye I used on my armor Was Flame Dye. Here’s a picture anyways.

The effects from lighting are however too strong. Go out in the winter when there
is snow with a white jacket or pullover .. and you will see it still looks white, and
not blue or grey.
Or your gold .. it will also not suddenly look grey.

You know this is all not as important as being able to dye our eye-brows so we don’t look like bottle-blondes.
