The customization allowed by the wardrobe is awesome to say the least, while it is almost a standard of most games of GW2’s caliber. My ONLY gripe about the wardrobe is that I can’t bind a cosmetic to a slot, as opposed to each item I choose to wear for the stats.

Could there be an option in the wardrobe to spend ~5 – 10 transmutation charges and bind a cosmetic to a slot instead of an item? I would gladly pay that to look cool. The entire thing about end-game oriented gearing and having to pay per item is that you can’t look decent until max level.

I get that I shouldn’t care about my look/style until max level, but why not lock it away until max level. I feel like most features are locked until a certain level anyway. (Which is kind of ridiculous, I have talked to friends that ‘moved on’ from this game and don’t remember a gated experience with many of the features that are now gated. (PvP, skill slots, introduction to game mechanics, etc…))

There should be a middle ground for the wardrobe so players do not have only one option to look the way they would like in a game that offers so much character customization.

Limiting a player to a transmutation charge per upgrade could turn players away. While this isn’t a huge part of the player base, there will be players that enjoy the cosmetic parts of the game more than others and if you limit their options, you forego any cosmetic purchases via the gem store. There are other games that don’t bind per item, or if they do, it is a very trivial amount of currency such as the Waypoints in GW2.

An alternate suggestion to this idea: Customized Outfits.

By this I mean you could buy Custom Outfit Slots from the gemstore, say up to a maximum of 3/4 slots. These outfit slots could then be set to look like your current armour skins. To set each outfit you use a consumable item that uses the armour pieces you have equipped at the time. This will then lock in the outfit to have your current armour appearance.

You could buy the initial Custom Outfit Slots (max of 3-4), then buy Custom Outfit Designer consumable items from the store, which will reset one of your outfits and create a new one based on your armour.

Not sure if this is doable, but I feel it would be easier to use (simply select the custom outfit you want, instead of each piece) and would provide another avenue of revenue for the game.

Simplicity is complex.

Good feedback is key to getting the developers to listen to you.
