One of the most appealing things to me about this game is its mix-and-matchable wardrobe system, and the amount of armor skins available to choose from. Collecting the various skins and creating new outfits is one of my favorite things to do.
I feel like currently, ascended armor forces you to stick to a single ‘look’; sure, if you get tired of the look after a month or two, you can switch to another look for 6 transmutation charges, which really isn’t a big deal. But for people like me with several favorite looks, there’s no easy way to switch between them from day to day without either spending massive amounts of gems for transmutation charges, or acquiring more than one set of ascended armor for the character.
I propose allowing each piece of ascended armor to ‘store’ three skins, with each of the stored skins being free to toggle between at any time. Each skin that is not the default will cost a transmutation charge to add to storage; when full, a transmutation charge can also be spent to replace any of the currently stored skins with a new one. This would preserve the value of transmutation charges while allowing players like myself to switch between outfits more freely and frequently.
This could be extended to exotic armor as well, but I don’t think it’s as big of a problem with exotics since it’s not nearly as difficult to acquire multiple sets. It would save inventory space for people who do so, though!
