I know I’m not asking for something simple but I also believe it is an important issue with many people.

FPS drops.
During dynamic events, in WvW, but even if you just run through LA, you get lagspikes cause of the amount of other players around you.

These spikes can be solved by changing your settings. But that mean the game doesnt look as awesome as it is with max settings. So often when I return to more solistic game play like dungeons or leveling or grinding, I return them to the better settings. This is not an easy task cause the game only gives you three standard presets (best quality, best performance and auto detect) and those presets never give the actual optimum result.

The first part of the suggestion is to be able to create our own graphical profile and that the game remembers that.

If that is possible, it might also be possible to have an option that the game switches to a different profile if the FPS drops below a certain trashhold, and returns to the default profile when FPS is back up.

Arise, ye farmers of all nations
Arise, opressed of Tyria!

Only if its optional. I do not want the game changing settings mid-play without me telling it to do so. Contrary to popular belief not everyone is having performance issues that impact gameplay.

I honestly think most of these issues would be solved with some more separation of settings. Let us adjust skill effects. A simple “All, Party, Self, None” would work. Weather on or off. Let us prioritize viewable players. Nothing like having players set to low and not seeing my own party.
