[Suggestion] Banker for Home Instance
And a trading post guy too please. :P
i think the reason why they don’t add these features to the home instance, is because they don’t want you spending all that time in an instance, GW2 is a MMO, and a MMO is all about the community spending all that time in your home instance by yourself isn’t what a MMO is all about.
and the TP/Bank are right outside the instances, you’ve got to be lazy on a different level if you find that inconvenient
Riddle me this—-Spot the inconsistency. In the home instance, we have farmable nodes, but no npc merchant to buy harvesting gear.
However, we do have, three npc traders trading stuff your probably never use, two merchants selling armour and weapons only the clinically insane would use, a belchors buff, umm, thing, and a bar man.
ps, im no good at riddles

Probably because the merchants were put there before launch and the idea for the nodes came long after. When you look at what they sell, it looks like they are there more as flavor and a place to sell your items rather than be a regular merchant such as found outside the instance.
ANet may give it to you.
I have no merchants in my Home Instance, so what they don’t sell doesn’t bother me…lol.
I’ve stopped paying attention to the race for the home instance myself. No matter what race the character I’m playing is and what home instance that char is entering, the home instance is always called the home instance and all the available merchants that particular home instance has is there. I’ve stopped noticing if one instance has all the merchants or none.

What I would love is some actual housing, what I miss most about eq2, daoc and rift, is being able to decorate and make your home a home instead of a generic place for everyone, I want to decorate, I do not want to have the same housing as the other players, it seems most new games lack this and its depressing, because housing has been 1 of my favorite aspects of MMO’s.
the trouble with housing in MMOs, is that people are not satisfied with anything less than SIM style housing (being able to place furniture and wall items anywhere on the grid), and most MMO companies don’t want to invest the time or effort in recreating the SIMS inside their MMO
they should sell them as gem store items so that in order to have a bank, TP, MF, and crafting stations, you pay the same price as a permanent access to the Captain’s Airship or the Queen’s area.
