Guild Wars 2

So I logged into Gw1 in the last couple of weeks and managed to collect at least 3 everlasting tonics, and some great minis that I’d really, really wanted for ages. I was so happy!
Then l logged back into Gw2, and I had a 2nd year birthday presents on 2 characters. On one l got about at least the 6th Queen Jenna (tbh, l think it’s more), which I promptly destroyed (it’s useless), and then opened other character’s present to get a birthday booster (great!), an experience scroll (I already have enough books and scrolls to get revenent to 80 on top of the ones l’ve already used), and an experience scroll.
Well, the birthday boosters are appreciated, but sheesh, l really, really miss my Gw1 minis and wish Gw2 would include minis in birthday rewards….That is all.
(Back to Gw1 to stand around with my lil cute white bunny rabbit, my kunnavang etc etc..sigh)

Yeah, I was hoping that they’d continue the GW1 tradition of random minis as birthday presents too.

Speaking of which, my oldest Guild Wars character is coming up on his 10th birthday.

neat idea/feature

Well, ANet kinda seems stuck on the idea:
- Birthday Booster
- Instant lvl 20 scroll that doesn’t stack with the ones from the years before
- A goodie that depends on how old the character becomes (The same for all characters).

I surely wouldn’t be opposed to an additional random mini each birthday.

You would think that the game would know you had a Mini Queen Jenna and give you an random Mini instead.

Mine too. If someone had told me when I first played the Guild Wars Beta that I’d still be playing it ten years later, I probably would have said that there are nuts. But I still play about once a week. And I’m playing it a lot more as we build up to HoT. I keep finding bits I’d forgotten about. Same with GW2 as I map areas I’ve not been to in 2 years.

Honestly I’m upset by these birthday gifts too. I realize there’s a lot going on with HoT coming out soon, but it can’t be that difficult to just come up with some variation in presents. GW1 birthday presents were perfect, I would welcome ANet even just copying the same idea. Please stop with the Mini Jenna. Please stop with level 20 scrolls that don’t stack. Just give me a random, trading post sell-able mini and I’ll be happy.
