Guild Wars 2

Hey everyone

So i’m going to keep this as brief as possible. Along side enjoying this game i love creating custom wallpapers and pictures of my in game characters to place at work or wherever really. With the limited pose-ability as well as camera options i have managed to capture some pretty good pictures.

Recently i’ve been wanting to take shots of my characters from just the top of the head to just below the shoulders (like a profile shot). I can almost achieve this if i use an ingame item to change my hair style, however options and buttons obscure the photo a little. And since camera unlocking tools go against the ToS, i decided not to go down that route either.

What i’d like to suggest is some sort of character photo booth. Now they don’t have to be pose-able (you just know people will abuse it… rule 34 anyone?). but if it had the ability to zoom in where need, maybe even rotate the camera. Aswell as changing the background, lighting, day/night. I think that would be awesome. It would go a long way in to helping me (and anyone else like me) who loves taking pictures of their characters (spend 500 or more hours on 1 character and of course you’re gunna get attached).

Anyway as far as i know, no such feature exists within the game. So i figured i’d throw it up as a suggestion, see how many other people would like this (or if im alone in this en devour)

I’d love to have in this game a feature that allows us to make alot better and easier pictures of our characters or the environment..

A Photo Cam together with a photo Album would be awesome, just like in the PS2 Game Dark Cloud 2 (Chronicles), where you could run around i nthe Game with your Photo Cam and make pictures and making very specific pictures you could place into your Photo Album.
Like making Pictures at the Vistas. makign Photos, especially specific awesome ones that are for the Photo Alöbum could then also be used for a new Achievement/Title.

But I’d especialyl love this feature to make easier Pictures of your character, because Cam Positioning ect is oftenly so far in GW2 sometimes very hard to get the picture so, like you want it to have, especialyl when your character should do a specific pose for the picture.

If we would have a Photo Mode, where the player just controls the Photo Cam for the correct position, lighting, distance ect. together with options that make our characters make poses without that we have to type in for that chat commands, that would be awesome.

its a feature, that I think sadly got so far way too less attention in MMO Games and i think anet could make something special out of this…
Example turning your made pictures into “Greeting Cards” which could be sent off with your Mails to other Players

Puzzle Pirates had this painting feature, for some small amount of currency, you could make paintings of your character and if you paid a bit more you could get group paintings. Paintings would be permanently uploaded so you could link to them remotely and you could put them in your house and display them in your character profile which players would see if they clicked on you.

I still think that was an awesome feature and would love to see something similar in GW2.
