Chef profession creates a number of crafting materials that quickly fill the packs. Like doughs, stocks, and other crafted ingredients. I know I am not the only one who while crafting foods ends up with a bags full of chef materials and no room for the crafted foods.
The idea is to provide “Material Storage” for the professions. Like the materials for crafted materials for armor, artificiers, chef, etc. These can be created on a by need basis. Like if I choose Chef and Artificier, my storage would now have a section for chef and Artificier. This way I’m not destroying materials that I have crafted and will need at a later date. Like I might need dough for a cookie or bread at a different level that I am discovering. Or I am making foods for my guild. It would be inconsiderate of me if I fill my guild’s bank with saved materials for crafting instead of filling it with finished products.
I personally don’t use the cheats of websites to craft materials on an as needed basis as a single discovery to get levels as I go.
Or the storage just has those extra areas and crafters can hold onto materials if you like shifting your professions around occasionally. Or need materials from other characters to craft special items. Like a chef could possibly be given glue or enamels to make, and the armorsmiths or weapon crafters will need to get those from a crafter to put into storage to discover weapons or armor. Basicly giving crafters reasons to get together and work as a group or give players a reason to have other characters get professions. Granted this is above and beyond the simple idea of crafter storage, but it could expand the PvE continuations after 80 for those who tire of dungeons, raids, and dailies. Wishing for something to do and occupy their time without going to another game in the interim I know I hate shifting around from game to game to fill in the time between expansions or content additions.
