My idea is..to make 10-20 divisions..they r something like a community haveing a special task. They interact with eachother and each give a different playstyle and reward. Players r able to give quests to other player. Its a bit like real Life xP
just like technology can learn from nature (bionic), games can learn from real life ;D
with a fee and a daily or weekly swap limit it should be possible to change these fractions.
Also the aim of this is..to make a city ruled and organiced by player mainly..and not from npcs.

edit: Forgot to wrote..since its missunderstanding by the discriptions i wrote below.
The Division only provide different kind of quests the items traded there or needed or dropped from monster r only quest items(and cant be used in a different way)..and non of them will replace the excisting items..and merchants will not replace the tp XD its just haveing quests acting like a merchant…so only adding quests with few divisions giveing eachother these quests…so they r not quests from npc to player..but from player to player.

  • Monsterhunter
    Monsterhunter are brave heros that love the thill and the challange. They often get requests from crafter, merchants and collector to provide them with material dropped from monster. Also guards, farmer and hosts need their help if a very strong monster is threatning the city,farm or give hard times to a host when no guest can visit the hotel/bar without beeing killed. The archologists found new ruins!…but evil spirits r all over the place…thats sounds like a job for the monsterhunter.
    If the monster is too strong they can also call a mercenary to join them. 2 blades r better than 1. To reach places that r difficult to reach they may also need the help of an explorer, who else is better in finding hidden paths?
    Some monster require special equipment, then monsterunter can ask the merchants for help..or if the price is too high they get the materials from collector (but these skritt like shiny collector rarely give away their precious shiny), farmer, fisher, explorer, or any other and bring these material to a crafter.
  • Crafter
    Crafter are skilled in producing products. There is nothing better than creating something with ur very own hands! They get requests from monsterhunter who r stuck with a mission and cant get it done right without the crafters help. But the most common customer of a crafter are merchants, who needs the headache of selling things and customers than dont want to pay the whole price? let the merchants have the headache. Also some mercenary and guards come for a request to improve their equipment since they jobs r a matter of life and death.
  • Merchants
    Merchants keep the economy running and provide anyone with goods. Merchants r ready to help u to find the right sword, shoes or materials. Oh? you found ur own shoes that were just stolen from some sneaky bandits while you took a bath in the lake? Maybe you should call the guards…But of course merchants usually give requests to any other division that can provide them with goods so dont worry! not every merchant only want money money and more money.
    Also merchants gives mercenary and guard jobs that they should bring their goods to the customer.
  • Mercenary
    As long as the payment is right mercenary do any kind of job. They help monsterhunter or guards. Also the fragile archologist needs help to reach their beloved ruins alive. Or the explorer get stuck bcs there is a super nasty Monster. Some mercenary work for bandits, why not help to make the rich poor and the poor rich? and making yourself rich also.
    After a loong day its the best to go to a bar! you may find a new job or just have fun with everyone singing songs! And who said that an asura cant beat a norn in drinking beer? Lets prove the opposite!
  • Bandits
    Life ain’t easy. There r these stingy merchants, these barkeeper that throw u out of their bar once u “found” a coin or two. Bandits are sneaky and always trying to find a way to get what they want. Well..usually they get requests from others (cant mention their name). But sometimes u just see that poor guy, haveing no good cloths (or is he a fisher who was just diving in the cold river and forgot to wear his cloths again?)and in the next city the merchant dont know what to do with all the cloths he own tht he send them to a different city. Too bad these guards dont understand that u just wanna help this poor guy (or ur own pocket) when u “ask” the merchant to give their goods away. Guards r always in the way…so its good to be sneaky and avoid them or use tricks to fool them to get what u need. Brute force is not always the best way..with all these super hero mercenarys around that just steal all your goods once they kick your butt. Also a tip…becareful that bounty hunter dont catch you.
  • Law Guardians/Guards
    For great justice! and all citizen of tyria! Bandits r sneaking around all over the place. its the duty of a guard to stop them. Also its good to keep an eye on some merachants, they might work together with some bandits. But bandits r not the only problem. There r also monster attacking the city so its important to move around and inside the city regulary. And guards help everyone in need. Well..except these shamans tht wanna steal bones from the cementary for i dont know what strange rituals.
    But nothing goes over bounty hunting! and kick some bandits butts. Or just relax in the bar.
  • Barkeeper/Host
    Singing contests! playing music and drinks! That and more are available in bars. People from all tyria comes here to enjoy time, finding someone for a job or getting a job, just resting after traveling a long distance. Its the job of a Host to keep things up. They might also hear some rumors about hidden chests or ruins filled with gold. So asking someone to help will be good.

GW2 doesnt support, and likely cannot support, a system of this style.

Half of these (e.g. Crafter, monsterhunter, merchant) are already gravitated towards by most people. Oftentimes, people move freely between them. In that sense, I suppose it wouldn’t be too bad if you could be in three factions at a time.

However, adding in other factions (e.g. Bandits, guards, shaman) will drastically change gw2 to the point where it won’t really be gw2 anymore. You also have to take in account that we already have our own personal stories and background for how our character was brought up. I’m not sure which storyline would fit in with e.g. Mercenary. Having the world run by players and not NPCs especially would crumble the game. Who’s going to buy off all your junk items? Run the TP? Who’s going to stand there all day just to tell passerbys how to get to the next tavern?

I doubt this will be easily implemented (if at all) into the already-standing structure of gw2, but roleplayers may already have created similar factions =P maybe there’s already a guild out there full of barkeepers your ideas would be good for a separate game. I’d scout that game =P

To tell the true…for me i would already be happy if there would be done some extra quests and daily missions with the order of tyria…since everyone choosed 1 of these 3..but there is no effect except the story…in daily playing it feels like they dont even excist.

Ah okay, then in that case it shouldn’t be hard to implement (similar to choosing which Order you’re in) and should be a fun addition =P
