[Suggestion] Context sensitive abilities
The coding challenge isn’t so great, it’s just going to be time consuming. You have to design, animate and code all different interactions for all classes for every single release.
And then you’d have to balance each of them

I think what he means is Anet should design the environment to have sections where a specific class can solve a problem by pressing F near it. If there’s a gap to cross, a necromancer builds a bone bridge. They would only have to make 1 animation: bones popping out. They could put that anywhere they want. The problem I see here is then you would need a necromancer to cross that gap, or else design alternatives for the other classes, at which point it kind of defeats the purpose. At that point there could just as easily be a wooden bridge that anyone can drop by pressing F, regardless of class. Indeed it would be easier to make 1 wood bridge for all the gaps, than to make 8 “themed” bridges with 1 for each class.
Thats what i emant, but i never said that it had to be for everyone.
I also never said that it have to something special.
I just said there should some class specific interactions around like Xenon explained.
By having them balanced around the world, so that they are roughly divided through all classes it would make each class a little bit special.
There would be a certain unbalance, as only one class would be able to open that, but would that be bad for a simple little chest or mining location?
We have something like that for Orders, as the order of whisper can access hidden rooms in the world, which the other orders can not.
You could bring friends or others along.
You could tie archievents to it if you so desire, like with the diving googles, or any other class specific archievment.
It would be just a simple little thing, which makes your class a bit more special at certain little points in the world, getting them on the same page as some NPCs (Priory Sylvari Story-NPC who was flying, Majory summoning a bone bridge, Multi clone Kasmeer, Multi Fleshgolem Trahearn,… etc. …)
This would be fun in dungeons and fractals
I’ve always thought they should have this as part of the event system.
There’s an event where you are stopping the flame legion from summoning some big beastie or other, and the first time I was doing it I thought, “Y’know, I’m an elementalist, I constantly have an elemental summon out, so I obviously know something about summoning magic, couldn’t I be doing something more in this event than smashing stuff?”
What if, for example, an elementalist, or even a group of elementalist, could form their own countersummon circle? Or could form their own summoning circle, calling out a beastie to match the flame legions?
I’ve found similar situations all over the game; events where engineers could be able to speed up repairs or building, where warriors could lead a group of soldiers, times when guardians could provide a second level of defense, when rangers could turn beasts, mesmers could infiltrate, and thieves could assassinate.
It would really help both class diversity and push the event system to the next level.

I would love class-specific environmental interactions so much. They’d give so much flavor to the different classes and give the classes more unique aspects.
