I would love for my character to walk barefoot without losing the bonus from a 6th armorpiece.
Farming the mushrooms for over a year every single day just feels like a bore now and the cheapest one on the TP is 2999g.
For some reason Arenanet decided that instead of a toggle like some other armor pieces it now is an actual armorpiece, fine but atleast give us something to work with.
I’m not looking for a handout, just for another means to get the items.
So I suggest:
Killing a Treasure Mushroom yields 15-25 invisible spores per shroom per day.

Mystic Forge:
250 Invisible Spores
1 Elonian Leather Square (can also be Damask or Deldrimor Steel)
25 Globs of Ectoplasm
50 Piles of Crystalline Dust
Makes 1 Invisible Leather Square <- Exotic although you used an ascended base material
Then follows normal crafting procedure

So making the medium boots wil take you up to 67 days if you have the lowest spore yield and do all 6 shrooms.
And will cost you about 120g a pair.

This will not remove the bootbox from dropping so you will also still have a chance for that.

To Easy? To Cheap? To Long?

IMO they need to simply add the kitten toggle. It doesn’t make sense to not have it.

I think your crafting idea is good. But it is simply too unfair to make something like this so extrmely hard and so tied to RNG.

I don’t get it either. If you just want to run barefoot, you won’t pay 2999g for not seeing your shoes. If you have a fetish, you won’t pay 2999g because the textures are bad. Makes about as much sense as paying 2999g for a skimpy outfit on a female character with pixelated chest. Either way, I see no point in getting the shoes and I don’t understand why would they make them so hard to get. I can only imagine that in a year or two, we’re going to see “Invisible Chestplate” just so our male characters can look fabulous and our female characters can look like they wear cheap bras.
