Suggestion: Create Account Outfit Token
Don’t think something like that will ever happen, because then noone would ever use or buy transmutation charges.
PS: Don’t get me wrong, I would love this
[RUC] Riverside United Corps! For Riverside!

Made the same request a few days ago.
Charge enough for it and the loss in trans charge money likely wouldn’t be a factor, and for people like me they’d have gotten more money because I’m more likely to buy something that gives me something permanent than something that just lets me do these things on a whim. I’d have dozens of these “outfits” such that I could have a different set for every different dungeon I do.

The transmutation charges are pretty cheap (maybe fifty cents each in real-world money?), and most people probably transmute once or twice at max level, and that’s it (just speculation). And… you still would need transmute charges to skin the character that you wish to base the outfit on in the first place… A personal outfit token could be priced to actually provide extra profit for ANET on top of the transmute sales, and provide a major convenience to players.

I think if priced reasonable it is not an issue.
A reasonable price would be 1800 gems. (to get the same result on a different character using charges you need 6 charges. So the price is based on 60 charges, which equals 10 changes. So for the price of 10 times changing to a certain look, using charges you gain a permanent constume to do the same.
There are however 2 issues
1: There are no skins for cultural armor on other races. So they either have to create them for all races(which is likely going to lead to an outrage cause cultural armor gets less unique, like we saw when human light armor was re-used for a set) or not include them (which leads to a problem with item tekst and likely a lot of support refund requests cause people bought this item and thought they could use it for cultural armor).
2: Making different armor types available as a costume on other classes, makes a class less recognisable in PvP and WvW. Now there are limited costumes, that are easy to spot, that are available for all classes, but when you see a player in heavy plated armor, you know it is either a warrior, a guardian or a revenant (in the future). With this change it can very well be an ele.
So all in all a nice idea if reasonable priced, but with some nasty impractical issues that are difficult to overcome.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
A neat idea, but it has a very narrow customer base for three reasons.
-you can already do this for free if you have Hall of Monument skins unlocked already (ya they are broken now, I know)
-transmutation charges are easy to come by, easy to purchase, and easy to save.
-once you hit level 80 and you gear your character the way you want, you no longer need it.
As an item that is only really marketable towards players leveling their toons, Anet would make little to no profit on it.

Quick – is this player light, medium, or heavy?

:p
As for the culture thing, I see your point, but it should be simple enough to put a flag on the outfit that restricts it if it contains a cultural skin piece.
