[Suggestion] Create a forum for suggestions!
They had one, once upon a time. The problem was it wasn’t used as often as it should have been, so rather than trying to keep up a barely used forum they shut it down.

Nuuuuuuuuu! They need to bring back the suggestion thread! I can’t believe they had it and took it away! Full support! #RessurectSuggestionThread
Jeez, they had a suggestion thread before and people weren’t using it? I have so many suggestions to post… I would love if they brought it back

I wasn’t so much that it didn’t get used but that a lot of heated arguments happened there that degenerated into not nice things.

Oh that’s too bad. Think the community has grown since?
Matured is the word you’re looking for and no, this is a game so the community hasn’t.
The suggestions forum was an unruly place reserved for the intellectually challenged to beat their chests and display their kitten to prove why someone’s idea was poorly thought out.
It was also not easily perused through by the devs – mainly because of how pathetically unpractical this forum software is. I mean you can’t even search, there’s no way to tell at a glance when a thread was created on the board page, if there’s a +1 there should be a -1 why the bias?… Why would I care who the Last Poster was? there should be a date there and not last posted date, created date so we know if it’s relevant or not to the current state of the game.
Anyway, Anet said something like they shut it down cause it was too hard to manage and look through and it would be easier to just use the regular forums and put relevant suggestions in them instead.
Here is the information (including the pertinent links) about the forum modifications:

There was a saying that was popular back then was the suggestion board was where threads went to die. Active threads discussing a suggestion not starting on that board would come to a virtual halt after it was moved.
