So I’ve been trying to restyle my necromancer yet again. Trying to achieve a unique (as far as you can get currently) look for myself between 4 different armor sets.
Thing is previewing all the different combos From the wardrobe, I am constantly frustrated at the limited styles available in the light armor weight class.. It’s all pretty much skirts and buttflaps that move awkwardly or don’t sit right with other pieces that I like… or they’re just not nice at all (IMHO as style is personal).
So I ventured out of the Light section and started comparing things from medium and heavy and matching them up in my head…
So many possibilities!

Basically, I would love to see the restrictions of weight class removed from armor skins. This would mean people have way more options when it comes to mix matching armors and would probably stem the clamour for more armor sets .. at least for a while.
I wouldn’t even care too much about potential clipping issues, because those exist already when mixing sets (or even sticking to one set).

This has been brought up alot, so I’ll give the answer as to why it will not happen anytime soon, if ever. There would be too many clipping issues between the armor types, as they all have different cut offs, and over laps. So the armors would not sit right with each other. So unless ANet want to rework every armor skin in the game, it’s not going to happen ever.
