[Suggestion] Currencies & The Wallet
Maybe the wallet could just be incorporated into the bank window as a tab, and then make the bank screen visible from anywhere. You would still need to go to an actual bank location to transfer items, just like the BLTC.
This could allow fluid integration between collectibles and currencies.
Better yet, merge the two into the same tab, with sub-tabs or toggles on the top for major categories, (instead of the long scroll-down we face in collections now).
The biggest technical difference is that currencies can’t be withdrawn into the inventory. A lot of things blur the lines between currency and collectible material, so maybe it’s time to let players handle them all through the same interface.
Heck, you could even make collectible items skip the inventory and automatically deposit. Then just move the whole new magic-sorting currencies/collectibles tab from the bank to the inventory window, and (huzzah!) we only need to go to a bank for items in our actual bank tabs.
That grid view is amazing.
Except for the candy corn, since that is also a crafting material.
Which you can withdraw as needed.
(Or, I suppose, craftable currencies could just automatically show up in the relevant dialogues (crafting station and MF).)

I still vote for simply getting less currency’s in the world and letting the game be less currency driven. If you want an item you should be able (and it should be the most effective way) to directly work for the item. Getting it as guaranteed drop or RNG but in a way you can directly work towards the item in stead of the currency way of doing things where everybody grind a currency and then buys what he wants. That just turns everything into a boring currency (mainly gold) grind.
I would also like to have an reduced amount of currencies. Or at least a currency converter/ exchanger.
But if they go for the ‘the more the better’ way, I would really love the improved wallet thing: http://swalsh81.github.io/gw2improvedwallet/
Give players what THEY want, not what YOU want and they will be happy and continue to play your game. The solution is to put all currencies in the wallet as requested. Who cares how big the wallet is?
We already have enough crap “complimenting” our inventories.
So you decided that despite the fact that we were begging for you to free up room in our inventories & banks with this CURRENCY that you’d go ahead with your idea of spending them from the bank and not add this CURRENCY to our WALLET that holds currencies.
I guess a half-thought out solution is better than nothing. I would still prefer you to take the wonderful ideas presented here in this thread and implement those in game.

That. Do something like that. I don’t have room in my bank to store excess currency items that you keep inundating us with.
Anet, If I promise to buy a bank tab when they go on sale, will you promise to make crests and geodes a currency (a real one that I don’t have to keep in my bank inventory). I get it you want to make money off of us but there is a cap to how many bank tabs I can buy per account. There is also a cap to how many character slots I can add, so theoretically there is going to be a problem at some point. I also don’t love the idea that I am supposed to buy character slots for the purpose of expanding my personal bank space.

I don’t think any players mind if you make the wallet larger. I honestly don’t see how, from a player perspective, that option isn’t strictly superior to using our bank storage to hold the currencies you keep putting into the game.
I don’t mind at all that you make the wallet larger, or redesign it. I know many many people who would be very happy to see new currencies added to the wallet. It is nice to be able to spend things like the snowflakes and candy corn directly from our bank, but geodes and crests are nothing more than currency.
Please, I hope there are any of you devs out there that can see if from our side of the situation.
My money and ability to expand my bank is limited. I’m getting close to having max bank tabs and they are all FULL. I am overflowing with currencies I want more room to store the tonics, toys and other things I’d like to get but I can’t because I don’t have room.
I discovered this thread because, as a new GW player, I found it odd that Bandit Crests weren’t already currencies and part of the existing wallet. They certainly sound like a currency from the tooltip.
Incidentally, I acquired them from a PvP reward track, and, at present, I don’t know where to spend them or what they’re good for. So now they are just cluttering my inventory. It feels like a negative “reward.”
[EDIT] Addendum: The chests from the dungeon PvP reward tracks (e.g. Caudecus’s Manor Dungeon Track) pose a similar problem. I don’t have any max level toons yet, and I haven’t even decided which will be my main, so the chests are just cluttering my inventory. It would be better if the reward was a token (stored in your wallet!) that could be traded to a vendor for the same gear you would get from the chest.
