tldr Have the ability to create custom outfits to help with those who don’t like tonics and can’t mix and match their town outfits anymore.

So in light of the new patch, I enjoy some aspects of it (such as being able to run around as the Mad King in PvP), but like many others, I’m not a fan of the tonic system or the cost to wear my fuzzy panda hat whenever I want. But most of all, I hate that I can’t mix and match my town outfits anymore. So here is my suggestion! I know it’s relatively minor compared to many of the other issues (and it could be easily solved by just allowing us to have each piece separately), but I’m going to go ahead with it anyway.

Somewhere in the hero equipment panel, you can “Create a New Outfit”. In the new window, all of your previous town clothes (sunglasses, hats, etc.) and tonics will be shown. You have the standard 6 slots to attach your gear. Let’s say you only want one piece of the whole tonic. When you move the tonic to one of the open slots, it ONLY applies to that slot – the chest piece, the legs, the feet, etc. And then you can apply tonics to the other slots, or individual pieces like the hats. This probably means you can’t mix/match already pre-set outfits (like the witch, mad king, etc.). Then, you can go ahead and save it as an “outfit”.

If you don’t want us using these clothing during combat, then simply have any outfit created using a tonic deactivate all combat skills or, like before, you will simply be changed back into your normal armor if you enter combat (get hit). Maybe creating an outfit will cost one transmutation charge, but will be free (like other outfits) afterwards to apply.

In the future, maybe this could be expanded into allowing you to create preset armor sets, but that’s for another day.
