Multi Part Posting

Part 1:

The new system currently is all good and nice on paper, but sadly it completely does nothign about the issue, that Anet has spoken about, what they wanted to reduce with the changes of the current 4th reiteration of the daily system in the first way – the generity of the daily system’s achievements

It’s all nice, that we have to do now each day just only simple 3 dailies of any category to get the daily 10 AP worth of AP progression towards our “AP Track” basically.
But for which costs, could someone ask?

I think it would be nice, if Anet would increase simply for all 3 Categories the amount of Options from 4 to at least 8, so that if there is under those options something, that you don’t like to do right now, that the chances are given, that under the other Options will be something, that you’d like to do right now in your preferred Gameplay Section.

Due to PvE having it here alot easier with variation, than the other two Sections, I think it is only needed for the PvE Section to have a Daily Rotation
So please remove the rotations for WvW and PvP
——-

Rewards:
Should get overlooked also a bit, because they all don’t feel really like "woah, I want to make that daily today for this reward.
Here you basically “punish” us again with what you wanted to remove actually with the current daily improvements – “pointless and boring generity”
So here are some suggestions for an improved Daily Reward System for PvE, PvP and WvW:

PvE:

Remove the Item Rewards from PvE Dailies and introduce a new Game Feature instead:
Order Guilds with a new Reward and Rank Track linked to that System.

Players will find in the Racial Towns and in Lion’s Arch from now on a explorable Instance (together with POI to find it easier) that leads them to one of their personal chosen “Order Guilds”

The Game will receive various different new Order Guilds, which will work also from this point on basically as “Factions”, where each Order Guild has its own different Reward Track that a player will be able to increase by collecting “Reputation” for your chosen Order Guild.
A Player will be able to work always only effectively for 1 Order Guild at the time and while working for 1 order might increase the Reputation for them, it might decrease your reputation also for another Order Guild which might not share the same ideals, goals or beliefs like another antagonistic Order Guild.

Raising your Reputation for a chosen Order Guild would lead to the point, that the player raises also by time the Rank they have in that Order Guild.
Raising the Rank of an order Guild will lead to the point, that their Guild Vendors will sell you more and more valuable new things or trade you those things in for various kinds of trophies, materials ect. that you would get now under the current system as rewards for doing the PvE Dailies.
Players would gain Reputation by doing in PvE the PvE Dailies. This way, so more PvE Dailies you do, so more Reputation do you get for your chosen current Order Guild and so more can you progress towards your Order Guild Rank, which leads to gettign the rewards from the Order Guild Vendors as sells or as trades (that way ANet gets also a new gold/material sink) and players get something to do that gives the player also the feeling of “horizontal progression”.

Those Order Guilds should offer the player also, once your Order Guild Rank for your chosen Order Guild is high enough “Missions” and “Order Quests” (work like Zaishen Quests), that if you fulfill them, get the player some better rewards and substantial boosts towards their Reputation to raise a bit quicker into the higher grades of the Order Guild Ranks (which by the way could reward the player also with new titles, new Home instance Elements, weapon and armor skins ect. pp)

Bad idea, since:
- lore breaking (cooperation amongst all races)
- hard to implement (new instance / new npc’s / new items / new quest-system)
- forces people to play PvE, therefore punishes people for playing PvP/WvW instead

Your post started promising, with the suggestion to up the objectives to 8 a day.
Stick to that, and give it to wvw / pvp as well.
I really don’t care if we get the same dailies for wvw each day, since there is only so much to do anyways, and only so much each individual player wants to do.

Uping it to 8 a day is easy and fast (therefore an in-time solution), does not require pointless new factions, and most importantly: will not kitten off 2/3rds of the community.

I ask this of other people:

Why is the daily important for you now that the majority of the rewards have been moved to be part of the daily login reward system?

Surprisingly, I have yet to receive an answer to that question.

Part 2:

How could such a Rank System for Order Guilds work like?
Simple answer – exactly like the WvW Rank System.
10000 Ranks. Each Rank Up requires the same amount of “Reputation” that is basically the term for its “experience”, where it is for WvW World Experience, its for Order Guilds just Reputation

What Order Guilds could exist? (examples)

  • Rogue’s Tongue (Thief Order Guild)
  • Order of the Black Orchid (Mercenary Order Guild)
  • The Consortium (Trader/Crafter Order Guild)
  • Inquisitor (Monster Hunter Order Guild)
  • Dragonslayer Brigrade (Commander Order Guild – Living World Centric offside from the other 4 Order Guilds)

What options should exist for PvE Dailies under Rotation
Based on the point that there should be instead of 4 at last daily 8 different options, I think it would be best, if PvE would offer in total 32 different Options.
8 per week, making it a rotation of 4 different weeks a 8 options per month.
Each Order would have its own 32 different Options.

The Monster Hunter Order Guild – Inquisitor for example would have options based on killing the various species of creatures, doing kills with various weapons, defeating various world bosses, defeating various veterans, or champions or doing Guild Missions for Bounty Hunts or so called “Black List” which would be the solo version of Bounty Hunts to go hunt for special creatures, that rarely spawn in all maps and are some more or less tough fights and so harder they are to defeat (based on their rank star level that indicates their difficulty on the black list), so better are the reards for those creatures, if you kill them and bring their trophies to the Monster Hunter Order Guild to exchange them for your Item/Money Rewards.

While on the other side the Consortium as Trader/Crafter Order Guild would have completely different dailies, that are more based on craftign various things, selling various things, buying various things, doing stuff with karma or trade items like bandit crests ect. as example for antagonistic behaviour among order Guilds, doing things for the Consortium would for example negatively affect your Reputation among the Thief Order Guild Rogue’s Tongue and vice versa.

How exactly would Order Guild Ranks work? Character Based or Account Bound?
Unlike WvW Rank, Order Guild Ranks would work Character Bound.
Like Crafting Jobs, the Order Guilds are limited, in this case to 1, each character can work always only at the same time for only 1 Order Guild.
However, if you have more than 1 character on your Account, that is working for the same Order Guild as like the Character that you are actually playing, then you will get for each Character that is currently under the same Order Guild as like the character that you play a little Bonus % on your Reputation that you gain for doing the Dailies.

@ Arantheal: maybe you wait first, until I’ve completely shown the concept, before you jump too early at the gun to judge it.
I just focus right now on PvE first, cause its the largest part of the Concept.
PvP and WvW get naturally also mentioned.

PS. Please explain, how the Order Guild Idea is lore breaking???

10 AP
/15schars

If it’s the AP, then you’re actually better off as you’ll get much more with your dailies than before and for much less work. It’s a bit of a downside for those that used to farm all 12 as people can get them easier, but I don’t really see any other negatives. It may or may not fall directly within your play style but then it was never really meant to. If AP is important for you, then this change should be great. If it’s not important, what are you really losing? A checklist?

because I lose the option to get these AP in wvw only, given that the aforementioned system would ever be implemented.
also edited my previous post.
wxp / pvpxp would fall under the table with it

you never stated that you expand your post.
therefore there was no tell to wait.

It shouldn’t take this many words to describe a daily system. Dailies, while not needing to be easy necessarily, should be pretty straightforward.

You can get your daily in WvW by doing 3 of the 4. You can also do dailies from the other two categories. Many of these can be done in a matter of minutes if your time is constrained.

Surprisingly, I have yet to receive an answer to that question.

The real question here should be, why was the daily re-worked once again where it was one of the least bothering thing in game? Why they keep working and reworking over and over and over this kitten ed daily? Why don’t they let the devs wasting time on this, actually work on something more appealing, like more new content of different type (New dungeons, new fractals, new PvP modes, new legendaries etc..), help in fixing bugs etc? And before everyone yells at me that “there are different teams working on different things!!!!” explain me why we keep getting daily reworks so often and nothing of what I mentioned?

Part 3:

PvP

PvP has already its own Reward Track.
The best option what Anet could do instead of giving PvP Daily Achievements is to turn the PvP Daily Achievements into a Daily PvP Tracker.
The current PvP Daily rewards are nothing else, than just little boosts towards PvP the active PvP Reward Tracker.
Why not make out of the Daily PvP achievements an overall Daily PvP Tracker, that simply tracks on the amount of successful done PvP Dailies and once completed it rewards you with “Glory”
Glory is basically the PvP Version then of Reputation for PvE’s Order Guilds.
While you increase your Glory, you can Rank Up your “Combat Elite Rank”
With raising this Rank, plays will be able to change something unique and special for their Account, that can be changed only by increasing your Champion Rank through collectign more Glory:

  • The Feature of Changing your Character Portrait Frame
You always wanted to have the golden Portrait Frame of a real Champion? Now you know how to get it. You want everybody to know, that you are a real PvP Legend??
Raise your Combat Elite Rank even further and get yourself the Legendary Character Portrait Frame for your Character and get rewarded with random Equipment Skins in between while you are working on the next Portrait Frame, basically like getting the old Achievement Chests, that rewarded the player with all kinds of random equipment skins including there also stuff, that could be unlocked only through this skin wise.
    —-

It is absolutely no good idea to limit Daily PvP Achievemens to specific classes and it is just too limitating as also totally against the “play how you want-ethos” of GW2.
as said, pvP needs no Aachievement Rotation, because therefore is PvP content wise 8at least now unde it’s current state) way too variationless.
PvP should offer due to this simply each day the same 8 Options (until Anet creates more variation for PvP finally with additional complete different PvP Gameplay Modes)

  • Play an unrated PvP Match
  • Play a rated Match
  • Defeat Players of all Classes
  • Get XX Top Player Awards
  • Progress in PvP Rank to a next Section (25%, 50% 75%, 100% )
  • Progress in your chosen Tracker to a next Section (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%)
  • Play in x different PvP Maps
  • Take xx Places

@ Arantheal:

You are wrong, it exactly stands in the first posting.
“Multi Part Posting”
This should make you think, that there is more coming after the first initial posting, especially when the first postign clearly hasn’t finished all aspects of the game :P

Part 4:

WvW

Same as like PvP, WvW is compared to PvE total variationless, so its just bette to give WvW as long as it stays so variationless as it is now just permanently each day the same 8 Options for completing the daily task of doing 3 of them to get the daily completionist’s 10 AP

Here are 8 good simple examples for WvW Daily Options:

  • Defeat xx Players
  • Take x Camps/Supply Generators
  • Kill xx Dolyaks
  • Take a Keep
  • Take a Castle
  • Take a Tower
  • Spend xx Supply on Repairs, Buildings or Upgrades/Traps
  • Take a Ruin and hold/defend it for at least 3 Minutes
    ——

Daily Competionist Improvement
A little improvement should be done here, based on how you made the Daily Completionist, there should be based on how you did it various different little Extra Rewards:

Done by 3 PvE Dailies = Rewarded by a Chest of Ascended Crafting, that lets you choose either 1 Bolt of Damask, 1 Elonian Leather or 1 Deldrimor Steel

Done by 3 WvW Dailies = Rewarded by a special WvW Rank Booster, that grants you +2 WvW Ranks and gives you for the next 5 Events you do in WvW +100% more WEXP.
Example: You use it, +2 Ranks up, then you run into a Castle Event, do it successful, instead of 1000 WEXP you get then 2000 and 4 events after that are left where you get more WEXP than normal.

Done by 3 PvP Dailies = Rewarded with 2 Gold and a PvP Rank Up + 1 Random not yet unlocked Equipment Skin Unlock (or 50 Silver more, if there isn’t anything to unlock anymore)

Done by a Daily of each Section = Rewarded by 2 Laurels, an Influence Booster of +500 Influence and some random T6 Materials

Done by 2 PvE Daily + 1 WvW Daily = Rewarded by sellable Buff items, that increase Guild Commodation Rewards each by 100%, 1 Gold and some Karma Containers.

Done by 2 PvE Daily + 1 PvP Daily = Rewarded by a random Black Lion Item + a Black Lion Key and + 1 Black Lion Ticket Scrap

Done by 2 WvW Daily + 1 PvE Daily = Rewarded by 100 Badges of Honor, 2 Laurels, 1 Gold and a WEXP Booster.

Done by 2 WvW Daily + 1 PvP Daily = Rewarded with a yet not unlocked Random Equipment Skin Unlock, 50 Silver if theres nothing left, a mix of Superior Siege Items and Traps and 1 WEXP Booster

Done by 2 PvP Daily + 1 PvE Daily = Rewarded with a Boost towards your chosen PvP Reward Tracker, some Ectoplasm Globs and some Obsidian Shards + a random exotic Item.

Done by 2 PvP Daily + 1 WvW Daily = Rewarded with a Boost towards your chosen PvP Reward Tracker, 100 Badges of Honor and some random usable Stomp Skins from any Stomp Skin of the Game. (except those from Holidays, these stay to drop only at Holidays)
