[Suggestion] Death cam - Team ghosting
Agreed, in the rare times i actually die (huehuehue) It is indeed quite boring to stare at my mighty corpse laying there…would be nice to switch camaras and see what my minions..err..teammates are doing..
While the situation arises very sporadically indeed, when it happens it is frustrating. You’ve been punished for your misplay, lag, disconnection, etc… which I have no complaint about and is to be expected. But having to be 100% unable to follow the fight you are part of is not necessary in my opinion.
Aside that one positive feedback, does anybody else thinks this would be a nice addition?
I can’t really see any drawbacks and it would make your death waiting time feel less punitive/more interactive.
Of course, I believe that it needs to be restricted only to some modes (probably not available in PvP where it might give an advantage and not when there is a respawn point available to avoid players lingering after death on world bosses, for example).
I’d really like to see more feedback! What are the developers thinking about this ?
Thanks

Of course it would be a nice addition, but Anet doesn’t add anything to the game unless they can charge 800 gems for it in the gem store.
Not going to happen because of WvW , WvW is the reason why the camera is they way it is now.
“ANet. They never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity to not mess up.”
Mod “Posts created to cause unrest with unfounded claims are not allowed” lmao
@JediYoda: I agree, but I’m only talking about allowing it in specific modes. Not PvP (which WvW actually is).
This was available in GW1 which had PvP too. And it worked great.
Unless I’m missing something, why would it be an issue?

Apples and oranges here GW1 didn’t have WvW, The reason the camera the way it is now because players would suicide or just get killed in course of normal battle and they would just lay there for a long time relying other servers activities or positions away to their server. Some creative person will find a away to abuse it like many many others things players have found a to abuse.

I understand where you’re coming from, but the ghosting feature could be turned on or off depending on the mode you’re in: it just wouldn’t be available in PvP or WvW. It would definitely be abused.
In the context of Dungons or Fractals, it should be doable.
It’s true that GW1 and GW2 are different games, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t get a few good features from one to adapt it for the other.
I’m nor saying you’re wrong either, this is also why I brought the discussion on the thread: getting players feedback, weight the pro and cons, see if it’s realistically feasible,…
