I have thought for some time that there should be a “library” in game for viewing dungeon cutscenes. My experience has been that most players skip the cutscenes so as to keep dungeon runs short, and players who want to watch them get pressure to skip them as well. There’s a lot of story and lore in those scenes that players miss out on if they skip them. Also, some of the stories would be good to go back and revisit, without forming another group and running the dungeon again.
I’m well aware that we can use LFG to form groups that don’t skip cutscenes, but those groups are typically slow to fill, especially if the dungeon in question is story mode. A lot of players just want to “get ’er done” and move on.
I imagine with the incoming changes to dungeon rewards, that it will only get tougher to access this content; it’s likely that fewer people will be running dungeon paths after HoT hits.
So, perhaps having an NPC or an Asura machine or a bookshelf full of tomes, or something — that can give us access to that content would be really cool. Maybe somewhere in LA, or perhaps having a “library” unit at the doorway to each dungeon?
I realize that isolated cutscenes, without the actual dungeon content will seem a little disjointed, but this would be better than nothing at all, IMO.
