Hello, I would like to suggest the following idea to be implemented for end game players. Now, we all know that ascended armor and all ascended trinkets are account bound and are able to move between characters within their respective armor class (e.g. warriors and guardians are able to share a set). I play between the two very regularly, as well as my ele. Anyways my suggestion is as follows:

Let us buy an in-game item which lets you duplicate an ascended piece. This would save time for those who are willing to pay a price for it. So lets say I can duplicate my ascended heavy helm, so that I can equip the duplicate and avoid having to go put them in my bank etc. I am only suggesting this for ascended pieces as they are account bound.

This could also be a good idea for other items such as the Copper Salvage-o-matic and perhaps toys as well.

I dont know, its just an idea and I’d like to hear what the community thinks about it. (And before you all call me lazy and what not, I’d rather be paying some gold to be able to do this, because putting gear into my bank everytime I want to switch characters is getting on my nerves.. and no I will not buy a second set of asc heavy armor… and yes I do fractals this much)

First of all less people would craft their gear and more people who have crafted their gear will complain that they have lost mats and time.

Less people would buy Mats on TP and more people would loose interest in the game even faster. Even though it is not it sounds very mutch buy to win as if Anet would have started to sell level up scrolls for gems.

The reason why it is so hard to craft ascended is not to just annoy us it is so that everyone won’t run around with it in just a few days. This happened to Exotic stuff and it was a mistake as I have understand it, it wasn’t supposed to be so easy to get your hands on.

Yeah, I’m with edgar on this. There isn’t any reason to have a duplicate item because it makes life easier at all. Anyone who spent real money on buying multiple infinit gather tools, just to save having to swap would be hyper upset. I know I would. Ascended armor? Yeah, why should someone get 2 sets for the price of one? Even if it is account bound and exactly the same.

Because either way, whoever doesnt want to spend gold on another set will simply switch it between characters. This is a method to bypass that and even get money out of people who would like something like this.

Refunds have been accomplished by anet before, i dont see why they cant do the same this time around..

You cant refund time spent in game. Much of the process of making ascended anything is time gated. I dont see how giving away a free set of ascended armor because its account bound helps anything. Plus theres the issue of runes. So effectively you can have 2 very different sets, with different runes, for the price of one, even if they had the same stats. So giving a refund of gold for making the set, really is a slap in The face for those who spent hours grinding EotM, of world bosses for dragonite and empryeal fragments. I spent 3 months on mine, I cant get that time back. It was totally worth it though.

Now if there were a way to directly transfer account bound items directly to another character I’d be ok with that. But as it is, with the bank, it still can be done easily and without much hassle.

Sorry but no way will anet even starting thinking about this.. open to much abuse
