Hi all,
I took some time to write this dungeon idea for endgame. (see attachment bellow and sorry for poor editing skill lol)
Note that the picture is split in half hence two links to view the whole thing.
I would like to know what you think about that, what think about gw2 could be attached to this idea (lore wise).
I would also like to know how this could be improved so that it could be a potentially good idea for Anet design team.
I will keep updating the design as I get feedback from everyone.

Using this for the second attachment
Good idea, but IMO that would mean pretty much everyone would go there to get ascended gear. No point in 500 crafting. Dungeon Master, 100% Map, and Personal story seem kinda harsh too. IMO a requirement could be to finish all the other story dungeons and have them “lead up” to this huge dungeon. Or, it could be about hunting the rest of the elder dragons. After all, Zhaitan is dead. Besides the dragon part, it kinda sounds like Arah. Super hard, endgame dungeon.

I stopped reading at the square, where you say “you instantly die at melee”. I’m sorry if you are one of those “zerk haters”, but forcing players to go ranged, just because you don’t like stacking, is a terrible idea. You didn’t even explain why players would die in melee range. My guess would be, there is no reason, it’s just you don’t like players stacking, so who cares if it makes sense or not, let em die anyway.
And btw, since when ranging mobs require more skill then melee? Don’t make me laugh.
If you want to play ranged, find a guild or a group and you can play it ranged. Every single dungeon can be played ranged.
Also, “If one player goes in downed state, npc dies…” What? That doesn’t make sense.
Sorry, but this is terrible idea. If they would implement such a dungeon, majority of players wouldn’t play it more then once.
P.S. One question for you: If i walk up to one mob in open world for example and hit him with my sword from melee range, is that stacking?

Actually, anyone can get through all paths of all dungeons by being carried. 100% map completion isn’t skill, it’s grind. Personal story is…a joke lol. It’s difficult to achieve these things because of the time ended, but that’s it. One person has more time then the other. GG, they get the new instance. No need for skill, nada. And let’s say those were actually difficult. What would be the point of crafting ascended anymore? Ascended would be the new exotic because everything would be sellable. Ascended gear is for the elite for a reason. Don’t take that away from us
i do like the idea of condis doing their part but ONLY CONDIS DO DMG?!? is a bit too harsh
i think you should always have the option to restart if you fail
however you will take much longer to succeed
like guarding the npc while hes running fro mcheckpoint to checkpoint (long distances each with a boss at the end) and if the npcs dies group wipe which means fro mcheckpoint onwards
like the npc walks with a determined speed so that you would need enough dmg to kill him quickly but resistance against crit there fore doubled incoming condi dmg or something so that a group variety is at least helpfull
and ofc attacks that oneshot glasscannons but not oneshot soldiers clerics etc
maybe two shot zerkers.. so that magi would be usable as well..^^
bosses that aquire cc like he needs to be immobilized stunned or knocked down in a certain area to dmg him (like in fractals) just with the difference the boss would be some greatsword quickly moving whirling and rushing warrior
there are a lot of things anet could do
id like some kidn of high end dungeon as well
fractals wer emeant to be that but .. theyre not that challenging overall..
however there are some nice bosses in the fractals just have trust in anet they maybe bring something like fractals or just add some more fractal levels above 50 that get really challenging (but give extra rewards.. )

Knowing that you could get a certain reward for that said dungeon you would not play it? lol.
And did you see my signature? All i play is zerker on all my character and all I do is speed clear. And seriously doing something else like going ranged or doing condi dmg could make for a change.
And maybe the npc thing does not make sens to you since you probably never played Gw1, a game where when you would fail an objective you would fail the entire instance.

Hehe but do you think that this non elite player would be even able to get through all path to get the ascended gear?
I think that has to be taken into consideration if ascended gear has to be given as a reward from a dungeon. The dungeon should be really hard.
