Guild Wars 2

I decided to come back to GW2 after a couple of years and wanted to experience the whole story from start to finish. My personal story, then seasons 1 (or at least the video) and 2, HOT, which I now bought and than season 3.

I got to level 80 and I have quite a bit of my personal story still left to complete, but my EXP bar froze and every time I get it from any source it’s bugging me I need to start the HOT story. In order to not waste EXP for mastery points I now need to skip 1/4 of my personal story and another whole chapter and start looking for some random place in Maguma and have no clue whats going on, which feels really disrupting.

Could we get an EXP bank that stores it until you reach HOT or maybe just Hero points, so that we can enjoy the game at our own pace and in the proper order?

I actually want to stop playing now because the HoT story that was forced down my throat has no head or tail for me and doing other things gets you a popup every time you gain EXP.

Who designed this…..????

just play as you like, exp is easy to get anyways. And if you are 80 the exp you gain goes to your mastery, just pick another skill and dump the exp into it if you find it a waste

Yeah, very true.

To OP, if it bothers you that much then skip ahead, do the first instance of the hot story which unlocks masteries and you can start “earning” XP again. You can go back to finishing your personal story then.

Of course you’ll only earn a little more before your XP bar fills and you have to earn mastery points in order to “unlock” it again. Either way I don’t think it makes sense to create an XP bank for the tiny portion of people that this effects.

The problem is that you get a popup every time you get EXP. EVERY BLOODY TIME!
Something about masteries being ready to train… which you can’t do because you haven’t unlocked them by playing the two missions from HOT.

I did them now with my speakers muted because listening to people I don’t know talking to my character about things I don’t know was super annoying.

This was probably the most frustrating experience I had in GW2. And I remember retying some bull**** jumping puzzle for over an hour.
