The devs had said (on reddit) that they are working on this, but haven’t gotten all the bugs worked out yet. They wanted it for this patch but in its current state it deletes all existing infusions, which is obviously counter productive.

But yet, 5/7’s are something they are working on and should be in the next patch hopefully.

So you want to say, once this “bug” is fixed, that we all get our Infusions buffed from +5 to +7 AR??

Hmm would be nice.. however, i think the whole infusion System rather should get a complete overwork to remove the huge pointless grind that is behind gettin the AR infusuions so high that they become useful first, but cost then already like multiple hundreds of gold and take ages to create to to the several hundreds of thousands of infusiuons required just to make 1 of theese high AR infusions..

ANet needs to add much more infusions with higher valuees to speed up the progress of miking high AR infusions.
The higher the Fractal Level is, so higher and more shoudl be the value of the infusions that you receive.

Fine Infusions = with values between +1- +5
Masterwork Infusions = with values between +7 to +10
Rare Infusions = with values between +12 to +16
Exotic Infusions = with values between +17 to +20

This way with 8 exootic infusions you would have 160 AR, enough to make everything in Fractals, with aniother free 6 infusion slots that should stay free for UTILITY effects, like increasing Exp gain ,gold gain, karma gain, MF, Craftign Chance increase, Wexp gain and so on and so forth.

Also the AR infusions should automatically get finalyl replaced with WvW-infusions without that you loose your AR infusions, they shoudl just get temporarely get exchanged out in regard of what kind of game mode you are currently playing!

Simple saids, the grind behind the infusions needs to get drastically reduce,d some quality of life needs to get added like that infusions automatically get replaced by the fittign ifusions of the game mode you currently play in for weapons and armor sets, while all accessoire infusiuon slots get exchanged into utility slots to provide there more space for character progression and visual fluff.

This pointlesx endless AR infusion grind needs to get simplied down into the classical rarity values of the game based on Fine, Masterwork, Rare and Exotic.

Add then on top of this Ascended Infusions that are accountbound versions of exotic infusions.
and Legendary Infusions, that have the ability to unlock for your account when used Skill Skin Sets or other visual effects

This way would get infusions more equalized to the other equipment and rarity systems of this game with Infusions ranging between Fine to Legendary value with their effectiveness beign capped at Exotic, so that having 8 of them is enough to reach maximum required AR to be able to take part in the highest Fractal Levels without that you die from Agony in a matter of milli seconds

Sure, just take your existing +5 fine infusion, a second round of the same amount of materials you needed to craft a +5, and use that to craft a +7.

Honestly, all +5 statted infusions just need a buff to +7, no upgrade required.

For an upgrade path you should just allow people to somewhat more cheaply combine the cheap 7s with the +4 infusions from the laurel vendor for a +4/7

Then, your cost range would be 0/7 > 4/7 >5/7(w/glowies)

Additionally, I’m hoping part of the update is to add aura effects to those same expensive crafted 5/7’s, and that what’s holding things up is a GUI interface to select/toggle/combine auras.

Or, even better, if +5s gained the ability to be upgraded with agony infusions so you had 5/x slots. The acquisition of +5s seems like its worth being infinitely upgradable like an AR slot.
