Hello all,

I was just going through my friends list and realized that in some cases I couldn’t recall who that person was. I sometimes add players that I grouped with in PvP, but then I don’t see them online in a while and forget who they are.

Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to put people into (self-created or predefined) categories, so that you remember in which game mode you added them or who they are in general?

I mean, close friends (RL) you’d remember of course, also guildmates (as you can see them in the Guild panel), but in cases of random players you encountered or people who have been absent for a while it is really hard. Friends categories would make it a lot easier to organize your friends list (PvE, PvP, WvW etc.).

Just a thought.

Although having a more complete and useful friendlist wouldn’t hurt anyone, you can assign nicknames to your friends and add them to “categories” that way.

I play a lot in PVP and sometimes I find some very good people to play with, but then lose contact mid-seasons. In order to be able to remember who they were and play again with them I assign them nicknames like “PVP player” or more specific “awesome Revenant”, so afterwards I know everyone that is a “PVP Player” was once a good teammate and next season I invite them again.

Block list works in the same manner, you can assign nickname there so if you block someone temporarily, for example had an argument with a guildie once but after some time you might want to reconsider and be friends again, or whatever.

Anyway I’m all for categories on the friendlist.
